Мета вивчення дисципліни: The purpose of the course "Innovative drying technologies of dispersed, paste-like and sheet materials" is to study the physical essence, conditions and laws of the drying process, to study the design and principles of operation of modern drying equipment, to carry out calculations of the main types of drying equipment, to choose the type of drying equipment taking into account the characteristics of the initial product, development of methods for intensification of drying processes. As a result of studying the course, students will have the skills of processing, analysis, generalization of experimental and theoretical data, interpretation of the obtained results in order to make the necessary decisions regarding the establishment of optimal parameters of the drying process and their optimization, as well as the formulation of the necessary conclusions. As a result of studying the discipline, students receive the necessary knowledge for the formation of scientific thinking, which allows combining production activity with scientific and technical developments.
Завдання: FCS2.1. The ability to use professional knowledge and practical skills to solve specific tasks in the area of calculation, design of innovative and energy-saving technologies of chemical industries. FCS2.2. The ability to critically analyze modern technologies and form requirements for the development of innovative processes of chemical production. FCS2.3. The ability to carry out scientific work in the field of research of innovative processes of chemical production.

Types of drying: Convective, Conductive, Vacuum, Sublimation Methods and Drying Method in the microwave field. Parameters of wet air. Finding the basic parameters of wet air on the 1-st chart. Material and thermal balance of the drying process. Calculation of heat for drying. dryers designs. Schemes of drying plants. Parameters for control and control.
