Мета вивчення дисципліни: The main goals of studying the discipline are the acquisition by students of theoretical knowledge and practical skills and methodological foundations of the analysis of places and the development of the countries of the world and international relations and social communications based on the study of the system of international ratings and international indices that evaluate transformational changes in the social, economic and political spheres and identify . factors of these changes.
Завдання: The study of an academic discipline involves the formation and development of students' competencies: integral: the ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems in the field of international relations, public communication and regional studies, foreign policy activities of states, international interactions between states, international organizations and non-state actors, characterized by the complexity and uncertainty of conditions and involves the application of social science theories and special scientific methods of researching problems of international relations; general: – the ability to abstract thinking, analysis and synthesis; – knowledge and understanding of the subject area and understanding of professional activity; - the ability to learn and master modern knowledge and apply it in practical activities; - the ability to communicate in the state and foreign languages both orally and in writing, to translate from/into foreign languages; – the ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources, in particular due to the use of information and communication technologies; - the ability to identify, pose and solve problems; - the ability to argue the choice of ways to solve tasks of a professional nature, critically evaluate the obtained results and justify the decisions made; - the ability to work both autonomously and in a team; – the ability to adapt and act in a new situation, in particular in the international context; professional: - the ability to understand international relations in various contexts, including political, security, legal, economic, social, cultural and informational; – knowledge of the state of research in international relations and world politics in political, economic, legal sciences, in interdisciplinary studies; – knowledge about the nature, sources and institutions of foreign policy of states; - the ability to independently investigate the problems of international relations, prepare and carry out public approval of research results; – knowledge and understanding of Ukraine's national interests in the international arena; - the ability to carry out communication and information-analytical activities in the field of international relations (in Ukrainian and foreign languages); – knowledge about international non-state actors and transnational relations; - understanding the role of information and analytical institutions in ensuring the internal and external policies of the world's states; - the ability to analyze the effectiveness of information policy at the global, regional and national levels; – knowledge of indices and rating systems developed by leading analytical centers in the field of international relations; - the ability to apply mathematical methods, in particular the methodology of system analysis and decision-making theory, to research events in the international arena; - the ability to apply modern technologies of search, processing and presentation of spatially coordinated information for the analysis of current problems of international relations.

Summary of the subject: Indixes and international rating systems as a means of analyzing international relations and public communications. Tools and methods for analyzing and forming indexes and international ratings. Methodological, organizational and technological bases of analysis of the country's international rankings on the basis of integrated indices of socio-economic and political development using the capabilities of the MS Power BI dynamic visualization system.
