Завдання: General Competencies GC 9 – Skills of performing safe activities; GC 12 – Knowledge and understanding of the subject area and understanding of professional activity; Professional Competencies PC 5 – Ability to operationally manage traffic flows; PC 13 – The ability to evaluate plans and proposals regarding the organization and technology of transportation, made by other subjects, and to make the necessary changes, based on the technical and operational parameters and principles of functioning of objects and devices of the transport infrastructure, vehicles; PC 16 – The ability to take into account the human factor in transport technologies.
Learning outcomes: Learning Outcomes PRN 9 – Develop, plan, and implement methods of organizing safe activities in the field of transport systems and technologies; PRN 15 – Evaluate the parameters of traffic flows. Develop schemes and networks of transport systems. Develop technologies for the operational management of traffic flows; PRN 18 – Investigate the kinds and types of transport systems. Find solutions for optimizing the parameters of transport systems. Assess the efficiency of the infrastructure and the technology of the functioning of transport systems; PRN 21 – Implement methods of organizing safe transport activities; PRN 24 – Choose information systems for the organization of transportation. Operate automated control systems and navigation systems in the transportation process. Use electronic cards; PRN 26 – Investigate human factors issues related to transport and the implications of errors for safety and management. Identify patterns of human behavior in connection with errors.

Summary of the subject: The discipline is studied to train future workers in the organization of transportation in the ability to operate means and systems of automation, telemechanics, and communication in the management of the transportation process. It is expected to learn the role of railway automation, telemechanics, and communication systems in the complex automation of transportation process management, increasing the efficiency of railway transport and their interaction with other systems and subsystems of the general complex. This discipline is important for the professional training of a bachelor in the organization of transportation and management in railway transport since his practical activity is directly related to the management of transportation processes using automation, telemechanics, and communication. After studying this discipline, a specialist in the field of transportation organization and management in railway transport will know the requirements of the Rules for the Technical Operation of Railways of Ukraine to railway automation and telemechanics systems that are operated and developed, the classification and purpose of station and overruns systems of automation and telemechanics, the basic principles of their construction and technical characteristics, principles, and construction schemes of dispatching centralization and dispatching control systems, principles of operation and assignment of automation elements and rail circuits, organization and operation of traffic light signaling systems, principles of development of a schematic plan of the station, principles of organization and operation of multichannel, operational-technological and radio communication. He will be able, to use the available technical means of automation, telemechanics, and communication, as well as to manage transportation processes both at the station and at the railway transportation directorate.
Опис: Lectures: Classification of automation and telemechanics. The structure of automatic systems. Classification and characteristics of the element base of automation and telemechanics systems. Sensors. Relay. Rail circles, their purpose in the A and T systems. Means of signaling and safety of train traffic. Permanent signals, their types, classification and PTE requirements for them. Semi-automatic locking. Structure and principle of operation. The impact of the PAB system on the safety of train traffic. Automatic blocking and its impact on traffic safety. PTE requirements. Principles of operation and classification of AB systems. Automatic locomotive signaling. Automatic traffic signals and automatic barriers. PTE requirements for barrier systems. Calculation of the section of approach to crossings. Station systems A and T. Classification of power station systems. PTE requirements for EC. Principles of management of station facilities. Dispatching control and dispatching centralization, their purpose and impact on train traffic safety. Automation and mechanization of sorting slides. Classification of slide automation systems. Types of communication on railway transport. Organization of dispatching types of communication. Operational and technological connections. The principles of their organization. Tone selective call. Lines of communication on railway transport. Classification, parameters. Influence of line parameters on communication range. Organization of radio communication on railway transport. Principles of the "Transport" system.
Assessment methods and criteria: Students' knowledge is assessed using the following methods: 1. Defense of reports from practical works in the form of a test. 2. Defense of the coursework in oral or written forms, through surveying theoretical material or testing on the subject and method of coursework. 3. Examination in written form or a test based on the results of studying the discipline, which consists of three-level theoretical and practical tasks. 4. Carrying out the oral component based on the exam results, the questions of which are based on the content of practical tasks.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Current control (CC) - 40 points. Examination control (EC) - 60 points (Written component - 50 points. Oral component - 10 points).
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.

Опис: The coursework consists of the following sections: 1. Design of centralization devices at the station. 1.1. Characteristics of the projected station. 1.2. Development of a schematic plan of the station. 1.3. Routing of movements at the station, list of train and shunting routes. 2. Design of automatic blocking on the pathway. 2.1. Characteristics of the selected auto-blocking system. 2.2. Arrangement of auto-blocking traffic lights. 2.3. Development of the principle scheme of auto-blocking. 2.4. Structural diagram of ALSN and connection between readings of passing and locomotive traffic lights. 3. Design of communication devices. 3.1. Characteristics of operational and technological types of department communication. 3.2. Calculation of the communication quality for the train dispatcher communication circuit.
Assessment methods and criteria: The report, which consists of an explanatory note and a graphic part and is defended in oral or written form by surveying of the theoretical material or testing on the subject and method of course work (100%, credit)
