The ability to solve complex specialized problems and solve practical problems in the field of transport using the theories and methods of modern transport science based on a systemic approach and taking into account the complexity and uncertainty of the conditions of operation of transport systems

Learning outcomes: RN-2 Critically evaluate scientific values and achievements of society in the development of transport technologies.

Summary of the subject: During the study of this educational discipline, the student acquires theoretical and practical knowledge and skills at stations, the rational use of their throughput and transportation capacity in the conditions of ensuring the safety of traffic and the safety of cargo.
Опис: Modern methods of collecting and transmitting information at Ukrzaliznytsia. The procedure for collecting and transmitting information to Ukrzaliznytsia. Purpose and structure of Road Computing Centers. Offices in directorates, STC. Automated workplaces. The work of graphic engineers in railway directorates and departments. Development of train schedules using computer.
Organization of combined transport train movement. Organization of movement of container trains. Organization of the movement of contrarail trains.

Assessment methods and criteria: Students' knowledge is assessed using the following methods:
1. Protection of reports for practical work in written form by conducting a control event on the subject of the work in the form of a test.
2. The course project is defended orally by evaluating the following components:
– the quality of the course project completed by the student;
– student's report;
- completeness and correctness of the answers to the questions posed to the student.
3. Conducting a written exam based on the results of studying the discipline, which consists of testing.
4. Carrying out the oral component based on the results of the written exam, the questions of which are based on the content of practical tasks.

Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
