Мета вивчення дисципліни: Formation of students' system of scientific and professional knowledge, abilities and skills regarding the organization of terminal work and the interaction of flows of various types of transport.
Завдання: General competences: - Ability to abstract thinking, analysis and synthesis (GC13). Professional competences: - Ability to organize and manage loading and unloading operations and warehouse operations on transport (PC2); - Ability to organize the interaction of modes of transport (PC6); - Ability to design transport (transport-production, transport-warehousing) systems and their separate elements (PC8); - Ability to assess and ensure the safety of transport activities (PC11); - The ability to evaluate plans and proposals for the organization and technology of transportation made by other subjects, and to make the necessary changes, based on the technical and operational parameters and principles of operation of objects and devices of the transport infrastructure, vehicles (PC13); - Ability to take into account the sustainable development of transport systems (PCS1.2).
Learning outcomes: Learning outcomes: PRN9 – Develop, plan, implement methods of organizing safe activities in the field of transport systems and technologies PRN10 – Develop and use transport technologies taking into account requirements for environmental protection; PRN12 – Find solutions for rational methods of organizing loading and unloading operations. Plan schedules for loading and unloading operations. Choose mechanisms and means of loading and unloading operations; PRN17 – Develop supply chains and evaluate their effectiveness. Establish links between different supply chains. Defining the functions of logistics centers. Analyze the features of accompanying information and financial flows; PRN24 – Choose information systems for the organization of transportation. Operate automated control systems and navigation systems in the transportation process. Use electronic cards; PRN25 – Use methods of organizing transport and forwarding services of various types of communication.

Summary of the subject: After studying this discipline, the student will know the structure of the transport network, the transport system and its management bodies and ways of further development of the transport system; aspects of the interaction of railways with other modes of transport; principles of terminal operation, implementation and functioning of international transport corridors (ITC); peculiarities of using new transport equipment for combined transportation. Will be able to: develop schedules for the maintenance of cargo warehouses by road transport with unregulated and regulated distribution in terminals and, based on their analysis, give an assessment of the effectiveness of regulating the approach of cars to the cargo warehouse of the terminal; perform calculations of the maximum delay of rolling stock in anticipation of cargo operations (rolling stock) and, based on the analysis of calculations and traffic schedules, develop technological schedules for the processing of transport units by railway and water transport terminals with coordinated and non-coordinated traffic schedules of railway routes and ships and the organization of cargo transshipment; develop technological processing schedules and determine the order of processing of transport units in terminals using linear programming methods.

Assessment methods and criteria: Students' knowledge is assessed using the following methods: 1. Protection of reports from practical works in the form of a test. 2. Examination in written form or in the form of a test based on the results of studying the discipline, which consists of three-level theoretical and practical tasks. 3. Carrying out the oral component based on the results of the exam, the questions of which are based on the content of practical tasks.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Current control (CC) - 40 points. Examination control (EC) - 60 points (Written component - 50 points. Oral component - 10 points).
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
