Мета вивчення дисципліни: The study by doctoral students of the specialty "History and archeology" of the academic discipline "Research seminar in the field of history and archeology (new discoveries and research perspectives)" involves acquiring the skills and abilities of scientific analysis of sources from the archeology of Ukraine in accordance with the most modern research methods taking into account the latest discoveries, finding the appropriate content in scientific publications, methods of selection of promising scientific forums.
Завдання: Flexibility of thinking. Mastering the skills of conducting analytical and experimental scientific activities; organization, planning and forecasting of scientific research results. Generation of new ideas (creativity), abstract thinking, ability to adapt to new conditions and situations; - professional competences: Ability to work in a research environment: understanding the context of the conducted research in history and archaeology; compliance with norms of behavior in interaction with other researchers - compliance with confidentiality, scientific ethics, respect for copyright ownership of information; compliance with standards of research practice; good performance.
Learning outcomes: 1. Ability to demonstrate systematic knowledge of modern research methods in the field of history and archeology; 2. Ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge in the chosen field of research; 3. Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the impact of historical processes and ethnocultural processes in archeology in a social and societal context. 4. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the legal framework defined by domestic and international legislation on history and archeology. 5. Be able to search, analyze, compare and critically evaluate information from different sources; 2. Ability to write a research paper, understanding the sequence of work on the preparation of research; 3. Ability to adapt the results of research during the writing of the dissertation; 4. Be able to use professional knowledge in the field of history and archeology to process research results.

Summary of the subject: The educational discipline "Research seminar in the field of history and archeology (new discoveries and research perspectives)" provides graduate students with the skills and abilities of scientific analysis of sources from the archeology of Ukraine in accordance with the most modern research methods taking into account the latest discoveries, searching for relevant content in scientific publications, methods of selecting promising scientific forums.

Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Correctness, logic, reasonableness, integrity of knowledge; quality of knowledge – its completeness, depth, flexibility, systematicity, strength; correct use of conceptual and terminological apparatus; speech culture (literacy, logic and sequence of presentation); the level of meaningfulness of knowledge - the ability to formulate independent evaluative judgments and theoretical conclusions.
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
