Мета вивчення дисципліни: To familiarise students with the design, principle of operation and operating conditions of oil and gas facilities equipment, as well as methods of its calculation.
Завдання: The study of the discipline involves the development of competencies in students: 1. Special (professional) competences: - ability to use theories, principles, methods and concepts of fundamental and general engineering sciences for professional activities; - ability to apply mathematical methods, models and modern digital technologies to solve complex problems of oil and gas engineering; - ability to perform operational calculations of technological parameters in oil and gas engineering; - ability to analyse the operating modes of an oil and gas facility, make the optimal choice of technological equipment, and optimise the operating mode according to certain criteria, including under conditions of uncertainty.
Learning outcomes: 1. As a result of studying the discipline, the student must be able to demonstrate the following learning outcomes: - knowledge of the design, principle of operation and operating conditions of equipment of oil and gas facilities; - knowledge of basic methods of calculation of processes and devices of oil and gas facilities; - performing basic technological and design calculations; - ability to analyse the conditions and mode of operation of technological equipment and devices of oil and gas facilities. 2. As a result of studying the discipline, the student must be able to demonstrate the following programme learning outcomes: - analyse and develop elements of technological schemes and technical devices of well drilling, production, transportation and storage systems for oil and gas; - apply modern digital technologies and specialised software to solve engineering and management problems related to the implementation of basic oil and gas technologies for well drilling, production, transportation and storage of oil and gas; - to make effective decisions on professional issues in difficult to predict hazardous conditions, taking into account the goals, timelines, resource and legal restrictions, environmental and ethical aspects; - calculate the parameters of hydrogas-dynamic processes that accompany the movement of oil and gas and process fluids in the formation/wells/field and main pipelines using the laws of thermodynamics, hydraulics and gas dynamics and modern methods of relevant calculations; - to calculate the technological parameters of oil and gas wells, oil and gas treatment systems, industrial and main gas and oil pipelines, gas and oil storage facilities using appropriate mathematical and engineering methods. - analyse the operating conditions of the components of oil and gas technical complexes, make the optimal choice of technological equipment and optimise the operating mode according to certain criteria, including under conditions of uncertainty.

Summary of the subject: The course is dedicated to the equipment of oil and gas facilities. In the course of its study, students gain theoretical and practical knowledge on the following issues: - design, principle of operation, operating features, as well as the procedure for calculating the main technological equipment of oil and gas facilities; - characteristics of construction materials for the manufacture of equipment for oil and gas facilities.

Settling tanks, filters, centrifuges, cyclones, electrodehydrators, electrostatic precipitators, gas separators, agitators. Design, operating features, calculation principle. 9. Equipment for gas cooling and liquefaction. Equipment for desalination and dehydration of oil. Purpose, classification, characteristics. 10. Tanks, cisterns, containers, pipelines. Purpose, classification, characteristics. 11. Shut-off, control and safety valves. Purpose, classification, characteristics. 12. Structural materials for the manufacture of equipment for oil and gas facilities. Requirements for structural materials. Main indicators of quality of structural materials. Metal structural materials. Steels, cast irons, non-ferrous metals and alloys. Non-metallic structural materials. Polymeric materials, rubbers. Practical classes: 1. Calculation of a distillation column for separation of liquid or gas hydrocarbon raw materials. 2. Calculation of a heat exchanger for cooling, heating, evaporation, condensation of liquid or gas hydrocarbon raw materials. 3. Calculation of the absorber and desorber for separation of liquid or gas hydrocarbon raw materials. 4. Calculation of a pump, compressor for transporting liquid or gas hydrocarbon raw materials. 5. Calculation of separator for separation of liquid or gas hydrocarbon raw materials.
Assessment methods and criteria: The student's overall grade for the discipline consists of a grade for current control and a grade for examination control. 1. Practical exercises - checking the correctness of the decisions made. 2. Exam - written and oral form.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: The total number of points for the discipline is 100, in particular: 1. Current control (practical classes) - 30 points. 2. Examination control: - written component - 50 points; - oral component - 20 points.
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100-88 points - certified with an “excellent” grade - High level: the student demonstrates an in-depth mastery of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline, systematic knowledge, skills and abilities of their practical application. The mastered knowledge, skills and abilities provide the ability to independently formulate goals and organize learning activities, search and find solutions in non-standard, atypical educational and professional situations. The applicant demonstrates the ability to make generalizations based on critical analysis of factual material, ideas, theories and concepts, to formulate conclusions based on them. His/her activity is based on interest and motivation for self-development, continuous professional development, independent research activities, implemented with the support and guidance of the teacher. 87-71 points - certified with a grade of “good” - Sufficient level: involves mastery of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline at an advanced level, conscious use of knowledge, skills and abilities to reveal the essence of the issue. Possession of a partially structured set of knowledge provides the ability to apply it in familiar educational and professional situations. Aware of the specifics of tasks and learning situations, the student demonstrates the ability to search for and choose their solution according to the given sample, to argue for the use of a particular method of solving the problem. Their activities are based on interest and motivation for self-development and continuous professional development. 70-50 points - certified with a grade of “satisfactory” - Satisfactory level: outlines the mastery of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline at the average level, partial awareness of educational and professional tasks, problems and situations, knowledge of ways to solve typical problems and tasks. The applicant demonstrates an average level of skills and abilities to apply knowledge in practice, and solving problems requires assistance, support from a model. The basis of learning activities is situational and heuristic, dominated by motives of duty, unconscious use of opportunities for self-development. 49-00 points - certified with a grade of “unsatisfactory” - Unsatisfactory level: indicates an elementary mastery of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline, a general understanding of the content of the educational material, partial use of knowledge, skills and abilities. The basis of learning activities is situational and pragmatic interest.
