Завдання: The study of an academic discipline involves the formation and development of students' competencies:
- the ability to learn, to perceive the acquired knowledge in the subject area and to integrate it with the existing ones;
- the ability to be critical and self-critical in order to understand factors that have a positive or negative impact on communication, and the ability to identify and take into account these factors in specific communication situations;
- ability to plan and manage working time;
- the ability to produce new ideas, to show creativity, the ability to system thinking;
- the ability to search and analyze information from various sources of scientific, technical and patent literature;
- focus on production safety;
- acquisition of a flexible way of thinking, which makes it possible to understand and solve problems and tasks, while maintaining a critical attitude to established scientific concepts;
- the ability to solve tasks and make appropriate informed decisions
Learning outcomes: • Know the types of the nanosystems, nanomaterials and methods of their obtaining, methods of physical researches of geometry of nanoparticles and morphology of nanomaterials, nanosizes effects in chemical and physicochemical processes, interdisciplinary connections in nanochemistry and nanoengineering, directions of application of the nanosystems and nanomaterials in chemical technologies, medicine, and materials science.
• Able to conduct the research of concrete information in scientific literature (periodic, patent, monographic) from nanochemistry and nanotechnologies and network the Internet and independently to analyses her and to register in the form of reports, abstracts and presentations.
• Have conception about directions of development of nanoscience and nanoengineering, tendency of researches and application in chemistry of nanomaterials.

Summary of the subject: The study of the modern state of science “Nanoscience” and her part “Nanochemistry” and nanotechnologies, that includes the sound understanding of methods of obtaining of the nanosystems, nanomaterials, nanocomposites, methods of physical researches of their morphology. Scientific analyses of the nanosizes effects in chemical and physicochemical processes. Branches of application of the nanosystems, nanomaterials, nanocomposites.
Опис: Study of the current state of the science of "Nanoscience" and its part "Nanochemistry" and nanotechnologies, which includes a thorough understanding of methods of obtaining nanosystems, nanomaterials, nanocomposites, methods of physical research of their morphology. Scientific analysis of the nanoscale effect in chemical and physicochemical processes. Fields of application of nanosystems, nanomaterials, nanocomposites.
Assessment methods and criteria: • Writing of abstracts from chemistry and engineering of nanomaterials by the topic specialization (70%)
• The oral presentation (slides) of material of abstracts (30%)
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: The current control of students' knowledge includes the defense of an essay on an individual topic. Semester control is carried out in the form of credit.

Summary of the subject: The discipline "Chemistry and Technology of Nanomaterials" is a discipline of the specialty 161 Chemical Technology and Engineering. The discipline provides theoretical knowledge of the current state of nanoscience, nanochemistry and nanotechnology, including a thorough understanding of methods for obtaining nanosystems, nanomaterials, nanocomposites, methods of physical research of their morphology; scientific analysis of the nanoscale effect in chemical and physicochemical processes; areas of application of nanosystems, nanomaterials, nanocomposites.
Опис: Nanoscience and nanotechnology. Classification of nanosystems. Methods of research of nanomaterials, nanostructures and nanosystems.
Methods of obtaining nanomaterials. Chemical methods of synthesis. Synthesis of ‘solutions’ of nanoparticles and methods of their research. Fullerenes and carbon nanotubes. Materials based on graphene, amorphous carbon and nanodispersed diamond.
Nanostructured objects at the interface. Nanofilaments, nanoparticles, nanofilms, porous systems, technological aspects of their production.
Preparation and properties of silicon nanostructures. Nanomaterials based on: germanium and semiconductors III-V, semiconductors II-VI. Fundamentals of sol-gel synthesis of silicate materials. Oxide ceramic powders for polyfunctional use, their preparation and application. Methods of modification of oxide powders. Oxide powders for medical purposes. Vitreous and glass-crystalline coatings for polyfunctional purposes. Features of top-down technologies for the production of nanoscale powders. Mechanical activation of heterogeneous reactions. Methods of obtaining polymeric nanocomposite materials and products based on them. Properties and use of polymeric nanocomposites. Polymer-containing nanocomposite coatings and film materials, their preparation and use. Lithography. Langmuir-Blodgett films. Physical, chemical and mechanical methods of nanoparticle size separation. Features of technological processes and hardware design. Diffraction, microscopic and spectroscopic methods of studying nanostructured systems. Conditions and requirements for equipment.
Assessment methods and criteria: The assessment of the current control of a higher education applicant is carried out based on the results of the successful completion and defence of the control work.
The form of semester control is a test.

Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
