Мета вивчення дисципліни: The students' assimilation of the main provisions of the theory of efficiency used in world practice and their acquisition of practical skills in determining the economic efficiency of the implementation of innovation and investment projects in the transport industry for substantiating and making management decisions, making recommendations for improvement efficiency of railway transport in market conditions.
Завдання: General competences: 1. Basic concepts and definitions from the science of large complex systems, which are street and road networks of cities with corresponding traffic flows. 2. To have the methodology of modeling these systems, the methods of their mathematical research using software products. 3. Analyze methods of modeling the city's transport network and traffic flows Professional competences 1. To study the numerical characteristics of the unevenness of traffic flows, time and linear intervals between them, speed indicators of the movement of vehicles. 2. To simulate on computers the processes of vehicles entering the main flow, the movement of vehicles on different sections of routes between intersections, passing through regulated and unregulated intersections. 3. Develop algorithms and programs for modeling correspondences, distribution of transport flows
Learning outcomes: 1. Make effective decisions in the field of transport systems and technologies, taking into account technical, social, economic and legal aspects, generate and compare alternatives, assess required resources and limitations, analyze risks. 2. Develop new and improve existing transport systems and technologies, determine development goals, existing limitations, performance criteria and areas of use. 3. Develop and analyze graphic, mathematical and computer models of transport systems and technologies.

Summary of the subject: In the process of studying, students master methodological approaches to determining the economic attractiveness of investment and innovation projects and their use in justifying the implementation of innovative solutions. The course examines issues related to substantiation of the economic feasibility of implementing innovative solutions based on forecasting methods, elements of probability theory, methods of economic statistics, logical analysis and generalization, basic requirements and methods of statistical data collection, methodology of traffic flow forecasting, determination of factors that affect forecast output and software tools to support the forecasting process. The entire complex of such information meets the requirements of modern rules and methodology, as well as progressive directions of further use of statistical data in transport flows.

Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Defense of reports on the completed practical work in oral form by the method of surveying theoretical material on the topics of the work and the method of their implementation (60 points) Defense of an individual research project (10 points) Credit control - 30 points
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
