Department: Transport Technologies
Lecturer: PhD, associate Prof. Maksym Afonin
Semester: 2 семестр
Mode of study: денна
Мета вивчення дисципліни: Formation of the students' system of theoretical knowledge regarding the basic provisions of the organization of freight road transport in domestic and international traffic, the formation of mainline and small group shipments of goods, the basic principles of storage and warehousing of goods and cooperation in the operation of rolling stock of different loads.
Завдання: The study of an academic discipline involves the formation and development of students' competencies: Integral: 1. The ability of a person to solve complex tasks and problems of the transport industry in the field of professional (scientific) activity according to a certain type of transport systems and technologies and in the learning process, which involves conducting research and implementing innovations and is characterized by the uncertainty of conditions and requirements. General: 1. Ability to work in an international context (ZK1); 2. Ability to communicate with representatives of other professional groups of different levels (experts from other fields of knowledge/types of economic activity (ZK4); 3. Ability to develop projects and manage them (ZK5). Specialists: 1. Ability to use modern technologies of transport and forwarding activities (FC3); 2. Ability to manage supply chains and logistics centers (FC4); 3. Ability to manage freight transportation by types of transport (FC5); 4. Ability to take into account the influence of customs procedures in the formation of transport technologies (FC10); 5. Ability to establish long-term cooperation with consumers, subjects of transport and forwarding activities, financial and credit institutions, insurance companies when organizing intermodal transportation (FCS1.2); 6. The ability to ensure the transportation process with the required number of vehicles and to determine the places of their use (FCS1.3); 7. The ability to determine the requirements for the system of information support of the technological process of transportation, the organization of cargo transportation systems (FCS2.2).
Learning outcomes: • To develop technologies of cargo and passenger transportation by types of transport based on research and relevant data; • Develop and apply modern technologies of transport and forwarding services; • Analyze and evaluate the efficiency of supply chains and logistics centers, calculate relevant indicators.
Required prior and related subjects: • Project analysis.
Summary of the subject: The study of this discipline involves students acquiring knowledge and skills regarding a flexible approach in the delivery of small group cargo. Such flexibility is achieved by acquiring competences in the management of transport technologies based on simulation results.
Опис: Systems of cargo delivery. Features of the terminal system. General characteristics of cargo delivery systems. Terminal Functions. Configuration of logistics centers. Principles of operation of the terminal transportation system. Classification and types of terminals. Features of work with documentation and provision of services in logistics centers. Strategic location of logistics centers. Calculation methods of distribution centers allocation.
Assessment methods and criteria: Final (credit) control - defense of the course project
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: • implementation and defense of the course project - oral form (100%)
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100-88 points - certified with an “excellent” grade - High level: the student demonstrates an in-depth mastery of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline, systematic knowledge, skills and abilities of their practical application. The mastered knowledge, skills and abilities provide the ability to independently formulate goals and organize learning activities, search and find solutions in non-standard, atypical educational and professional situations. The applicant demonstrates the ability to make generalizations based on critical analysis of factual material, ideas, theories and concepts, to formulate conclusions based on them. His/her activity is based on interest and motivation for self-development, continuous professional development, independent research activities, implemented with the support and guidance of the teacher. 87-71 points - certified with a grade of “good” - Sufficient level: involves mastery of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline at an advanced level, conscious use of knowledge, skills and abilities to reveal the essence of the issue. Possession of a partially structured set of knowledge provides the ability to apply it in familiar educational and professional situations. Aware of the specifics of tasks and learning situations, the student demonstrates the ability to search for and choose their solution according to the given sample, to argue for the use of a particular method of solving the problem. Their activities are based on interest and motivation for self-development and continuous professional development. 70-50 points - certified with a grade of “satisfactory” - Satisfactory level: outlines the mastery of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline at the average level, partial awareness of educational and professional tasks, problems and situations, knowledge of ways to solve typical problems and tasks. The applicant demonstrates an average level of skills and abilities to apply knowledge in practice, and solving problems requires assistance, support from a model. The basis of learning activities is situational and heuristic, dominated by motives of duty, unconscious use of opportunities for self-development. 49-00 points - certified with a grade of “unsatisfactory” - Unsatisfactory level: indicates an elementary mastery of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline, a general understanding of the content of the educational material, partial use of knowledge, skills and abilities. The basis of learning activities is situational and pragmatic interest.
