Master’s thesis. - Lviv Polytechnic National University, Lviv, 2021. Extended abstract Today dictates its rules and development trends, thus forming a completely different way of social life from the past, increasing the importance of upbringing and education as one of the most important factors in shaping the new quality of society and economy. [1] Children’s art centers should be a program that encourages the promotion of architectural forms that stimulate creativity[2] and social integration of children, be as comfortable and interesting in terms of architecture, have a bright individual appearance, and become in demand in social terms.[ 3] The object of this research are children’s art centers in Ukraine. Scope of research - the principles of architectural and planning organization, as well as the tools used in shaping the architectural environment of children’s art centers in Ukraine. The goal of this research is to develop a new, modern type of architecture of children’s art centers, based on the results of research in this topic, moving away from the template design of the Soviet period, which does not currently correspond to the modern model of extracurricular education. Thesis of 90 pages, consists of an introduction, four sections, conclusions, a list of sources and appendices. The presented material included 81 illustrations, 18 sources in the list of references. The first section discusses the history of the origin and development of children’s art centers, describes the relevance of construction of this type of building in Ukraine, as well as analyzes foreign and domestic experience in building children’s institutions, established a classification of children’s art centers. In the second section - the analysis of the basic methods and principles of designing which influence formation of development of the centers of children’s creativity is made. The third section is exclusively recommendatory, namely it contains a number of proposals for the design and construction of children’s art centers, proposed materials that should be used for interior and exterior decoration of buildings. The fourth section describes the architectural and planning solution, which was proposed after the research in this topic. This work also has applications, namely: - the results of sociological research conducted by the author; - publications in Internet sources about the author’s lecture on "Modern centers of children’s creativity", which was developed on the basis of research; - certificates of participation in international conferences directly related to the topic related to the topic of this work; - graphic materials that were developed at the entrance to the study. Based on the results of the work, conclusions and proposals were made to create a new base for designing children’s art institutions in Ukraine. Own version of the architecture of the building of the center of children’s creativity in Lviv is offered.
