Abstract: Noga Yu.V., Belei O.I. Automation of information flow management in a modern infocommunication network. Master’s thesis. - Lviv Polytechnic National University, Lviv, 2020. Extended abstract Due to the growing share of information technology and their development, more and more business content is sold through the services of the information network. At the same time, the use of the information and communication network responds more quickly to market changes, promptly collects and provides the requested information to users. The growing capacity of personal computers, increasing the number of applications based on client-server interaction, real-time packet processing requires high speeds from the traditional infocommunication network. The object of research is the information flow coming to the port buffer of the network switch of the information communication network. The subject of research - models of service of a self-similar stream on the basis of algorithm of functioning of programs of the automated management of dynamic redistribution of packets in the buffer of the network switch. The purpose of the work is to develop the technology of automated control of self- similar information data flow processing in a modern information communication network. Research methods - review of similar systems, description of infocommunication networks, models of information flow in the buffer of the switch port in the software environment GPSS World, development of algorithms of control programs for maintenance of self-similar information flow, analysis of results. Over the past 10-15 years, the information infrastructure, the concept of building a telecommunications network, as well as the creation, storage, processing and dissemination of information have changed [1]. According to the theoretical basis, the flow model is studied on the basis of a careful study of flows flowing in a network based on circuit switching and was further generalized for a network with packet switching [2]. At that time, packet-switched networks had a small number of users and passed mostly flexible traffic [3]. To investigate the flow to the network switch, the WireShark sniffer was used to read and monitor information flows. The diagnostics of information flows proves that data transmission has a long-term dependence and self-similarity properties. The parameters calculated by the Pareto distribution indicate the correspondence of the studied information flow to the developed model. The work uses a powerful general-purpose computer simulation environment GPSS World. In this environment, simulation models of information flow generation processes included in the network switch have been developed. When determining the 14 devices of the information and communication network for data transmission, it is necessary to take into account the properties of information flows that are not inherent in Poisson flows, and this will improve the quality of data packet transmission. Keywords: information flow, data packet, self-similarity algorithm, technology, simulation model, infocommunication networks.
