Abstract: In large cities, the bulk of residents are relocated using public transport. The totality of all types of public transport forms a single route network. Quite often in the transport systems of urban passenger transport there are negative phenomena associated with the wear of rolling stock, non-compliance with schedules and timetables, low information support of the transportation process. Particular attention should be paid to low speeds on some sections of the route network. All these factors affect the productivity of public transport, increase the time spent on moving residents and more. The level of wear of rolling stock affects the comfort of the trip, low technical and operational and technical and economic performance of public transport. The vast majority of public transport routes are paved with main streets, which have a high traffic load caused by high traffic. As a result, there are traffic delays at intersections and pedestrian crossings, regardless of how traffic is regulated. In addition, in large cities there is almost no free space left for the arrangement of separate lanes for public transport, which would not be reflected in the conditions of the general traffic flow. Sometimes there is not enough space for quality arrangement of stopping points. Based on this, engineers are trying to implement various priority systems for public transport. The information support of the transportation process needs special attention. Its essence is to inform passengers in the cabins of vehicles, as well as through various mobile applications about the location of public transport rolling stock on the route network, schedules and modes of movement, the possibility of changing from one route to another or from one mode of public transport to another. At the initial stage of substantiation of the research direction the aspects and criteria of passengers’ choice of routes in cities, as well as the factors that determine them are analyzed [1], and various ways of modeling the demand for public transport services are considered [2]. A number of ways to select and manage the demand for transport services have been established [1,3]. In general, it was found that the demand for transport services determines the configuration of the route network [4] and determines the main directions of development of the transport system of passenger traffic in cities [5-7]. All these aspects determine the efficiency of the urban passenger transport system [8]. The work is based on conducting a survey of users (passengers) of the transport network to assess the quality of public transport services. It is determined that the main directions of further improvement of public transport services are: increasing the regularity of traffic on routes; increasing the speed of rolling stock; improvement of information support of the transportation process; improving the arrangement of end and intermediate stopping points; increasing the level of comfort of vehicles; traffic safety. Study object – public transport route network. Scope ofresearch – quality indicators of transport service on the route network of public transport. Goal of research: improving the rationing of public transport quality parameters in cities. Keywords: public transport, route network, street and road network, quality of transport service, passenger, transport system. References. 1. Ponkratov D. V.
