Abstract: Today, all large cities experience problems related to the increase in the level of motorization, which often does not meet the needs of the urban community (neighborhoods) and the modern requirements of the economy. Because of this, the urgent tasks of sustainable development of cities are the improvement of transport planning methods and technologies. The formation of comfortable conditions for the urban environment in the largest cities largely depends on the quality of passenger service to the population, in particular, public transport. One of the main parameters of the operation of passenger transport is the duration of transportation of passengers to points of attraction [1]. In recent years, projects on the development of public passenger transport and intelligent transport systems in cities have been actively developed. The development of these directions in combination with the measures of the concept "Mobility as a service" (MaaS) is aimed at ensuring sustainable mobility in cities. The successful development of the MaaS concept depends on the quality of work and the level of development of public transport [2]. The high quality of passenger transport in urban public transport is necessary to reduce the share of the use of personal transport in the structure of population mobility. The efficiency of public transport depends on the connectivity of the territories, the density of the street and road network and the route network. Significant improvement of such parameters requires large financial costs and organizational and management efforts. Another means of improving the efficiency of traffic management, in particular public transport, is the development of Intelligent Transport Systems [3]. One of the possible solutions to the above-mentioned problem is the organization of continuous passage of public transport through regulated intersections, therefore, theoretical justification of the high-speed mode of public transport for continuous passage of regulated intersections is an urgent task [4]. Based on the results of the research, the following tasks were completed: 1) a number of foreign publications were analyzed, which describe the factors affecting the formation of bus delays before intersections; 2) public transport route No. 9 was chosen, taking into account that there are many regulated intersections and places of attraction along it; 3) the method of conducting research, which formed the basis of the work, is described; 4) for two peak periods during one month of research, 790 values of durations of high-capacity buses were obtained; 5) using the methods of mathematical statistics, the numerical characteristics of the distributions of the duration of bus traffic between stops were calculated; 6) recommendations were developed regarding the possible practical application of the obtained results. Keywords: duration of movement, bus, route network, public transport stop, law of distribution. References. 1. Dong X.
