Abstract: The issue of spirituality has always been relevant and occupies an important place among various sciences and humanities. With the intensive development of religious awakening, there is a growing need for spiritual educational institutions that will train clergymen and raise spiritual development to the highest modern level. The design of a modern spiritual and humanitarian institution is a complex and multi-factorial task that requires the improvement of the concept of similar complexes and the study of historical achievements in order to fully create a comfortable and adapted space for learning, using new technologies and preserving historical monuments. This will help illuminate the religious vision and play a role in shaping society. The project is aimed at creating buildings that will connect the historical quarter of the center of Lutsk and the modern general territory of the academy. In addition, for the formation of a cult and inspiring educational space, to serve and attract more students. The creation of an optimal composition of premises and the functioning of the building are necessary for the formation of a single system of space. Architecture and its environment will help stimulate, encourage and support religious, social and educational development. The first section of the study includes the study of domestic examples of spiritual institutions, historical influence and a number of classification features. The second chapter reveals the topic of modern trends in the development of humanitarian and spiritual educational institutions, features of architectural planning and architectural compositional solutions. Based on the analysis of samples, a number of factors affecting the formation of the development of modern educational institutions were formed. The third and subsequent sections describe the characteristics of the designed object, architectural and planning solutions of the object, constructive solution, the basics of economy and labor protection. The object of the study: spiritual and humanitarian educational institutions, seminaries, academies, theological universities, their design features and architectural and compositional solutions. The subject of research: architectural-compositional and functional-planning development of spiritual and humanitarian educational institutions, and design of the architectural environment. The aim of the study: To study the design trends of spiritually humanitarian educational institutions at the current stage and their development in the world. Develop an architectural and planning solution for the new educational buildings of the Volyn Orthodox Theological Academy in Lutsk. Research result: The experience gained during the study and research of the architectural features of the design of the foreign and domestic design experience was integrated in the formation of the educational space and the design of the new buildings of spiritual education of the VPBA. In particular, the performance of the following functions was provided: education, recreation and communication. Creation of new connected spaces that will meet the most modern requirements of spiritual education and the latest architectural and aesthetic trends. In the course of the work, modern trends in the development of spiritual and humanitarian educational institutions and proposals for the organization of the educational space were determined.
