Abstract: In the master’s thesis, an image processing system using cloud technologies was developed to solve the problems of using low-quality images in the field of medicine, associated with the presence of noise, and object recognition on surveillance cameras for security systems. The relevance of this topic lies in the fact that image processing is a necessary part of the work of a large number of different technologies and is used in such diverse fields as medicine and security. Four stages of image processing were presented: adaptive alignment of the image histogram, binary segmentation, image difference search, and image skeleton search, which allow preparing the image to select regions with the target object and define its contours, which allows for the detection of dynamic objects. The work consists of an introduction, five chapters, a conclusion, a list of sources and appendices. The introduction briefly describes the relevance of the image processing system and the feasibility of developing the system. In the first section, the problem was analyzed and an overview of the existing solutions used for image processing was made, as well as their relevance, and various image processing algorithms were considered. In the second section, the selection of means for the implementation of the image processing system using cloud technologies, the study of structural and functional solutions based on their relevance and efficiency for the system, taking into account the data obtained during the study of existing systems, was carried out. In the third chapter, the development of the image processing software system was shown, the architecture, database and system were designed, the system deployment was shown, and the results of the image processing system were shown. In the fourth chapter, the system was investigated and tested for speed and accuracy. In the fifth section, the costs of implementing an image processing system were calculated and an assessment of such work was carried out. The work justified the choice of means of implementation and development environment for the system. The architecture of the image processing system, its operation algorithm, the structure of classes and methods, and the user interface were developed. The development was carried out in the Python language, which is modern and easy to understand [16].
