Specific admission requirements: The rules of admission to graduate school set requirements for entrants, taking into account the specifics of the educational and scientific program. Entrants must provide scientific papers on the topic (content) which corresponds to the characteristics of the ESP. These works include: scientific works and patents for inventions (author's certificates of inventions) / in the absence of scientific works and patents-abstract. Entrance examinations are conducted on the basis of entrance examination programs, the content of which takes into account the peculiarities of ESP. These programs are published on the university's website three weeks before the admission campaign, reviewed annually and updated as necessary. This is done centrally by order of the Rector before the introductory company Entrance examinations for graduate school are conducted by subject commissions (3-5 people), which are approved by order of the Rector. These commissions include candidates of sciences (doctors of philosophy) and doctors of sciences who carry out scientific research in the relevant specialty and are responsible for the implementation of the ENP training of doctors of philosophy. These commissions may include representatives of scientific institutions with which agreements have been concluded on joint scientific activities and / or on joint management of postgraduate research, and / or on joint implementation of educational and scientific programs, or with which doctors of philosophy are trained under a joint SNP. , agreed between the University and the research institution.
Specific arrangements for recognition of prior learning: Provided that the previous level was obtained in another country, nostrification is required, which is carried out by Lviv Polytechnic.

Characteristics of the educational program: The educational and scientific program is aimed at topical aspects of the specialty, within which further scientific and professional growth is possible. Acquisition of necessary research skills for scientific work in the field of history and archeology.
Gained competence: 1. Ability to demonstrate systematic knowledge of modern research methods in the field of history and archeology; 2. Ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge in the chosen field of research; 3. Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the impact of historical processes and ethnocultural processes in archeology in a social and societal context. 4. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the legal framework defined by domestic and international legislation on history and archeology; 5. Ability to demonstrate methods of searching and processing various types of historical sources, professional historical and archaeological literature; 6. Possession of sufficient knowledge in the fields related to history and archeology, which will allow to critically analyze the situation in the historical and archaeological spheres and to identify key trends.

Ability to adapt the results of research during the writing of the dissertation; 4. Ability to work in archival institutions with different types of written historical documents; 5. Be able to use professional knowledge in the field of history and archeology to process research results; 6. Be able to assess the significance of historical events, archaeological finds. Ability to classify, attribute, systematize, interpret fossil artifacts, verify immovable archaeological sites. 7. Be able to carry out historical and social substantiation of innovative projects.
