Characteristics of the educational program: The educational program provides in-depth theoretical knowledge and practical skills sufficient for successful performance of professional duties in the specialty 122 "Computer Science" in the specialty "Information Control Systems and Technologies" and prepares students for further employment. The educational and professional program is based on the well-known provisions and results of modern scientific research on information control systems and technologies. The program is focused on mastering and developing promising areas of information control systems and technologies with the use of modern tools of intellectualization, network solutions, and hardware components.
Gained competence: - possession of sufficient knowledge in the field of information technology, which will allow monitoring to critically analyze the component in information-generating systems and technologies and identify key trends in their improvement and development; - understanding of tools and strategies related to the diagnosis and analysis of the state of development of information management systems and technologies at a level that allows effective use in the practice of theoretical knowledge in the creation and implementation of information management systems and technologies; - knowledge and understanding of scientific principles underlying modern information and control systems and technologies; - theoretical and practical knowledge of information and control systems and technologies at the level of the latest achievements, which are the basis for original thinking and innovation, in particular in the context of research; - knowledge of the basics of professionally-oriented disciplines of the specialty 122 "Computer Science"; - gaining knowledge that provides analysis and critical thinking of problems and tasks in the developed information control systems and technologies; - professional knowledge for formulating requirements and developing intelligent control systems and technologies, problem-oriented and embedded computer systems, computerized digital signal processing systems, evaluation of their parameters, and reliability; - support the organization of communication interaction and conflict resolution in developing and implementing information management systems and technologies; - knowledge and understanding of methodological design and modernization of information and control systems and technologies by regulatory requirements of current standards and specifications; - knowledge of economics and project management basics in information and management systems.
- develop intelligent components using neural network technologies to evaluate data from sensors in conditions of interference and incomplete information, compression, and recognition of images and scenes; - ensure the development of intelligent components for the management of technological processes and complex objects based on an integrated approach, which includes neural network methods and architectures, methods of pre-processing of signals and images, algorithms for parallel computing, VLSI technology; - develop intelligent components of hierarchically distributed management systems for decision-making tasks in conditions of uncertainty; - use storage tools (databases, repositories, and data spaces), operational analytical and intelligent data processing, and network technologies in the development of information control systems and technologies; - apply the acquired knowledge and understanding to identify, formulate and solve problems of the development of information management systems and technologies, using known methods; - apply knowledge to solve problems of synthesis and analysis of information and control systems; - systematically think and apply creative abilities to the formation of fundamentally new ideas in information and management systems and technologies; - apply knowledge of technical characteristics of components of information and management systems, technological features of processing different types of information; - work effectively both individually and as a team; - perform research and apply research skills; - critically evaluate the results of activities, and defend the decisions taken with arguments; - to combine theory and practice, as well as to make decisions and develop a strategy for the development of information and management systems and technologies, taking into account universal values, social, state, and industrial interests.
- ability to justify and communicate the conclusions, functions, and parameters of the developed tools to both IT specialists and specialists in other fields for which information management systems and technologies are developed and implemented; - use of foreign languages in professional activities.
Academic mobility: Based on bilateral agreements between Lviv Polytechnic National University and higher educational institutions of foreign partner countries.
