Characteristics of the educational program: Educational-professional program «Traffic organization and management» forms a plan and requirements to the education of master`s degree in the sphere of traffic flow control and the implementation of intelligent transport systems elements in conditions of sustainable development.
Gained competence: 1. To search the necessary information in scientific-technical literature, databases, other sources, analyze and objectively assess the information in the sphere of transport systems and technologies and tangential interdisciplinary problems; 2. To discuss fluently the questions of professional activities, projects, and research in the sphere of transport systems in native and foreign languages both orally and in written form; 3. To make effective decisions in the sphere of transport systems and technologies taking into account technical, social, economic, and juridical aspects, to generate and compare alternatives, assess the necessary resources and restrictions, analyze risks; 4. To bring their knowledge, decisions, and the basis of their making to the specialists and non-specialists in unambiguous form; 5. To provide the safety of people and the environment during the professional activity and realization of projects in the sphere of transport systems and technologies.
1. To develop new and improve the existing transport systems and technologies, determine the aims of the development, existing restrictions, criteria of the effectiveness, and the sphere of the use; 2. To develop and analyze graphical, mathematical, and simulation models of transport systems and technologies; 3. To develop the technologies of the freight and passenger transportation by types of transport based on the research results and relevant data; 4. To investigate the impact of customs procedures on the effectiveness of transport technologies; 5. To develop and apply the modern technologies of transport-forwarding service.
1. To analyze and assess the effectiveness of chain supply and logistic centers, to make calculations of relevant indicators; 2. To manage the complex technological and production processes of transport systems and technologies, including the unpredictable and those that need the new strategic approaches; 3. To organize the work of the staff, provide its professional development and objective assessment; 4. To use the specialized program software for the analysis, development, and improvement of transport systems and technologies; 5. To develop the methods of transport research and forecasting and simulate transport processes and movement environment; 6. To find optimal solutions among alternative variants of transport systems; 7. To assess the existing and develop progressive methods of traffic indicators research.
Academic mobility: Between Lviv Polytechnic National University and other universities. Participation in individual programs of academic mobility within the projects Erasmus and by the programs of dual degree
Work placement(s): Practice by the topic of master`s qualification paper on the enterprises and organizations of the field, and also authorities by general amount 10,5 ECTS credits.
