Learning outcomes: - search for the necessary information in the scientific and technical literature, databases, other sources, analyze and objectively evaluate information in the field of transport systems and technologies and related interdisciplinary issues; - to develop technologies of freight and passenger transportations by types of transport on the basis of researches and relevant data; - to study the impact of customs procedures on the efficiency of transport technologies; - to develop and apply modern technologies of transport and forwarding service; - analyze and evaluate the efficiency of supply chains and logistics centers, perform calculations of relevant indicators; - manage complex technological and production processes of transport systems and technologies, including unpredictable and those that require new strategic approaches

Summary of the subject: Principles of research and modeling of transport systems. Design of models of large transport networks. Modern information technologies in the design of transport systems. Design of delivery and warehouse motor transport systems in the conditions of the big city. Design of motor transport systems using linear programming models. Design of transport distribution systems
Assessment methods and criteria: - writing reports from practical work, oral examination (30%); - final control (control measure, exam), written-oral form (70%)

Learning outcomes: - determine the technical and operational performance of the fleet of vehicles; - organize the movement of rolling stock and develop routing of goods; - know the technology of freight transportation, loading and unloading and transport and warehousing; - manage freight traffic; - make rational routes of transportation of freights; - apply economic and mathematical methods of planning of freight road transportations

Summary of the subject: The theme of the course project: «Development of technological schemes in the organization of road transport». Cargo, elements and equipment of the transportation process. Selection of rolling stock. Determining the types and required number of loading and unloading mechanisms. Application of queuing theory to calculate the technical support of the cargo terminal. Tasks of the organization of freight road transportations. Calculation of the shortest path. Drawing up rational routes of cargo transportation. Graphic representation of the obtained results
Assessment methods and criteria: - the report consisting of the explanatory notes and drawings and is defended orally (100%, credit)
