Characteristics of the educational program: The objects of study and activity are physical processes and phenomena, algorithms and control systems, schematic and software solutions, which are the basis of the functioning of electronic components, devices and systems. Learning goals – acquisition of competencies necessary for solving complex problems and problems in the field of electronics, including by conducting research and implementing innovations.
Gained competence: - physical fundamentals of electronic engineering, cathode-ray and plasma technologies; - mathematical methods of analysis required for theoretical and practical subject – specific problems solution; - elements of engineering and computer graphics; - tools of computer technologies; - theory of electric circuits, signals and processes; - fundamentals of metrology, circuitry and microprocessor engineering; - vacuum, plasma and solid electronics; - fundamentals of modelling processes in electronic and biomedical systems, elements and electronic devices for computer-aided design; - fundamentals of law, production and management, occupational safety and environmental protection.
- skills of creating 'requests for proposal' for electronic devices design, to carry out research engineering projects; - skills of using software application in electronic devices and apparatus design; - skills of developing methods of testing for devices and systems of metrological verification; - skills of incorporating fundamental economic laws, ecological principles and elements of social - cultural competence; - capacity for self- improvement and continuous professional development; - communication skills, literacy and fluency in oral and written Ukrainian and in, at least, one of the most common European languages; - skills of personal self-management and effective time management.
- ability to analyze and estimate the potential of innovations and discoveries in the field of electronics; - skills of 'request for proposal' analysis and electronic devices and equipment design; - skills of selecting the optimum structural-technological variants of a given electronic device; - ability to design circuits and structures using relevant software application; - skills of analysis and modelling of biomedical processes with electronic devices application; - ability to develop mathematical models of electronic devices according to the 'requests of proposal'.
