Summary of the subject: The essence and characteristics of catalysis, entropy and energy factors. Homogeneous catalysis. Heterogeneous catalysis. Adsorption in heterogeneous catalysis. Elements of macrokinetics in catalysis. Modern views on the nature of the catalytic action. The catalytic activity of catalysts. Promoters, modifiers, mixed contact masses. General information about the poisoning of catalysts. Regeneration contact masses. Classification and fundamentals of industrial mass contact.
Assessment methods and criteria: • two verification control tests (30%); • written component (50% exam): oral component (20%)
