Learning outcomes: obtaining knowledge about the methods of regeneration and utilization of waste petroleum products: motor, aviation, transformer, gas turbine and vacuum oils, acid tar, oil sludge and deposits; solving the problem of environmental pollution by fuel and lubricants.

Summary of the subject: The main reasons for the need to regenerate waste petroleum products. Changes in the physical and chemical properties of different groups of oils during their operation. Oxidation, thermal decomposition, contamination by mechanical impurities. Collection, acceptance and storage of waste petroleum products. Physical and physical and chemical methods of regeneration of spent petroleum products. Precipitation, separation, filtration, removal of flammable residues, coagulation, adsorption purification. Chemical methods of regeneration of waste petroleum products. Sulfuric acid and alkaline purification. Combined methods of chemical regeneration. Features of regeneration of waste oils of different groups. Regeneration of motor, aviation, gas turbine, transformer and vacuum oils. The main methods of regeneration of acid rubbing. Regeneration and utilization of oil sludge and sludge.
