Learning outcomes: Program competencies: • knowledge of the laws of self-development of Nature, the relationship of man with the biosphere, the functioning of ecosystems, the biochemical cycle of chemical elements. • formation of fundamental knowledge about the peculiarities of the use of natural resources by various industries and the impact of these industries on the environment; acquisition of competencies for greening production processes. • ability to master international and domestic experience in solving regional and transboundary environmental problems. Program results: • be able to determine the impact of the production sphere on the environment; awareness of problems and ways to improve the environment and the use of alternative environmentally friendly industries.

Summary of the subject: General description of the national economy, the basic processes of some of its branches. Characteristics of natural resources used by the different industrial areas. Characterization and analysis of the impact on the environment. Measures to limit the negative effect of emissions, discharges and waste accumulation. Alternative ecologically safe technology.
Assessment methods and criteria: • current oral examination (30%) • final control (exam): written-oral form (70%)
