Abstract: Karpin N.V., Sorokivsky O.I. (supervisor) Comparison of operational characteristics of serial electric cars// The Master’s qualification work. – National University Lviv Polytechnic, department “Operation and repair automotive vehicles”. - Lviv, 2020. Extended annotation The electric car is the unconditional and inevitable future of the modern automotive industry, as well as the near future. Many manufacturers around the world are investing heavily in the development of electric vehicles, which contributes to the steady rise in oil prices, the need to reduce harmful emissions from the car, as well as the development of energy storage devices, energy consumption technologies. Object of research: serial electric cars of leading car manufacturers. Subject of research: operational characteristics of serial electric cars, characteristics of electric motors, speed of movement and traction force on driving wheels. Purpose of the study: to investigate the performance of serial electric vehicles, the characteristics of electric motors, speed and traction on the drive wheels according to the above method. The history of development of electric cars from the XIX century to the present day is considered. Brief information about the first models of cars with electric motors and their authors is given. [3] The general structure of electric cars and the structure of their main components are highlighted. The types, structure and principle of operation of electric motors, their advantages and disadvantages are described. The types of power supplies, their advantages and disadvantages are considered [3]. The method of determining the main performance characteristics of serial electric vehicles is presented, the necessary analytical dependences for the construction of traction and speed characteristics of the drive are given [1, 2]. According to the above method, the characteristics of electric motors of the most popular electric cars in Ukraine are calculated, namely: BMW i3, Nissan Leaf Renault Zoe, Tesla Model S, Audi e-tron. Analysis of the obtained performance characteristics showed that the electric cars BMW i3, Nissan Leaf Renault Zoe are direct competitors. Electric cars Nissan Leaf and Renault Zoe are the most widespread in Ukraine, have a sufficient range of mileage to charge the batteries and decent dynamic characteristics. The BMW i3 electric car has a slightly shorter mileage range before charging the battery, but has excellent dynamic characteristics and is very popular among young people. The Tesla Model S is presented as a sporty, dynamic electric car with excellent acceleration dynamics for travel and sports competitions. The capacity of Tesla Model S batteries allows more than 500 km to be charged. The Audi e-tron electric car is positioned as an off-road sports crossover with all-wheel drive. Basic words - electric motor, electric car, vehicle speed, traction on the driving wheels, the acceleration dynamics of the car. List of used literary sources: 1.
