Abstract: Over time, due to the inevitable scientific and industrial progress, the population has new needs, challenges, which caused the need to equip more buildings and structures for public use, which would help meet these needs. New administrative and household, cultural and leisure, educational, educational institutions provided additional functionality for their time. These buildings and structures not only met the needs of the population, but also determine the direction of development of the settlement, and, in particular, affect the economic and social situation in the settlements. Today, the housing construction industry is developing rapidly in Ukraine. Along with the human need for housing, the need to build public infrastructure, such as: preschool and school facilities, medical, physical, material care facilities, is growing rapidly. Since the church plays a key role in modern Ukrainian society, in particular, has one of the highest levels of trust from the population among all institutions in Ukraine, so, in my opinion, the relevance of the construction of sacred objects is at a high level. Ukraine was building a significant number of public buildings. The architecture of these buildings was completely connected and reflected the specifics of the then regime and the policy of the ruling party. [2] Centralization of standard design, lower costs and faster construction, lack of decoration were the main features of the architecture of that time. [3] Underestimation of the social significance of architecture led to the loss of originality in the form of settlements, the lack of bright architectural images that were to reflect the social features of the then system. What then is the Church in such a global society? Obviously, none of the local Christian churches now have the power to critically influence the socially important decisions of their local community (there are only a few exceptions, such as the Georgian Orthodox and possibly the Polish Catholic Church in the European region and in other countries and regions. like the Philippines or Guatemala - I do not undertake to evaluate). The same applies to the worldwide influence of the Roman See, and even more so of such a vague confederation as the Ecumenical Orthodoxy. The format of buildings has changed from schools that provide additional services in additional time, through social houses / clubs to a building that serves the community responsible for its care and management and provides opportunities for the development of recreational, cultural and personal well-being of members. But at the same time it is a meeting place for community groups or volunteer organizations. The project also explores the list of functions that can perform a community center, the list of zones, premises, functional blocks that it may contain. Urban planning, economic [6], social preconditions for the arrangement of public centers have also been studied. As for Ukraine, it is safe to say that the positions of the churches of Ukraine on socially important issues do not attract attention because they have a sociologically inconspicuous impact (or vice versa - the Church has such a small social effect that churches do not claim value, importance for society own position).
