Abstract: The agency journalism studies the activities of information agencies that act to provide information services. Their activities are to gather, process, store, prepare and spread information. It’s important for a journalist of information agencies to keep up with language standards; however it’s worth remembering that the norm, from the point of ongoing development and improvement, can be out of the practice and dynamics of language development. An error is a deviation, the difference between a wrong component and a proper (regulatory) view. Editing is preparing text for publishing. Literacy, lexical and stylistic skills are important for the editor, so that the material is more interesting and understandable for the reader. Editors not only are taking decisions what will be published and with which accent, but they are responsible for the clarity and accuracy in the story. Qualitative editing contributes to good informing, it’s about correct spelling, grammar, stylistic and lexicon. The typical errors in the media are: logical failures that occur if an author broke the logic laws, such errors have a dangerous that the reader may not understand what the author wanted to convey, or because of broken logical links the reader takes it wrongly at all; factual errors arising when an author has no understanding of the subject he is writing about, does not know the facts and numbers, due to which the reader will be misled; macro and microstructural mistakes, in general editor’s most important focus is on editing text errors, but there are such flaws that the reader will notice faster than will read the text itself (the newspaper’s column, the rubric, the release, the headlines); spelling mistakes that usually are result of not knowing the Ukrainian spelling rules, although inattention and rushing can also contribute. Study object is content of the Ukrainian news agencies UNIAN, Ukrinform, and RBK-Ukraine. Scope of research is a stylistic and grammatical aspect of the language of the agency journalism of Ukrainian news agencies. Goal of research: based on Ukrainian information agencies to analyze the language of agency journalism, its grammatical and stylistic aspects, in the context of quality audience informing. Studying of the materials of the UNIAN, Ukrinform and RBK-Ukraine agencies allows to highlight the most typical mistakes: lexical level errors (the use of foreign language words, even if there is a Ukrainian equivalent, the use of new, unclear foreign language words; the tautology; using Russian words in the Ukrainian text; missing words, the presence of redundant words in a sentence; difficulty in writing in connection with improper translation from Russian to Ukrainian); spelling errors (violation of capital letter writing rules in the names of organizations, institutions, public authorities and local governments, names and surnames, holidays; violation of rules of usage “у” and “в” in front of consonants or vowels; violation of the wording rules; mistakes in gender and number; violation of the apostrophe usage rules; violation of letter-doubling rules); actual failures (oversaturation and ununifying of actual material; lack of reference to the source; incomplete information).
