Abstract: It is difficult to imagine today without new technologies, in every moment of life, and even more so in transport. ITS did not become an exception to the rules. Intelligent transport systems (ITS) is a systematic integration of modern information, communication technologies and automation tools with transport infrastructure, vehicles and users, which is aimed at increasing the safety and efficiency of the transport process, comfort for drivers and transport users.[1] Intelligent transport systems in the complex form a basis for managing and improving the automation of transport processes, including all processes related to transport: transportation of goods, transportation of passengers by public transport, collection and processing of information collected on the street - road space, recording of violations of traffic rules, payment for travel in transport, payment of the cost of entry into the city and toll roads. All this forms ITS in the life of a person and a city. The use of information systems in the management of urban passenger transport is associated with the rapid pace of development of cities today, the increase in the number of vehicles on the roads and streets of cities, the development and introduction of new directions. [2] The main purpose of the intelligent transport system (ITS) is to balance the load on the roads in order to organize public transport work efficiently. ITS will help organize the work of city transport in such a way that buses, shuttle taxis, trolleybuses or trams move clearly according to the schedule, and citizens can know the specific time of arrival of transport at stops.[3] Speaking about the city and its residents, providing real-time information for passengers of various types of transport is the most priority task, because reducing the time to get to the required point and minimizing the passenger’s waiting time at the stop will increase the demand and attractiveness of public transport. The purpose of this task is to improve and facilitate the waiting of passengers and travelers for transport at the stop, because in this way a person can use his time more rationally. And it works as follows. At this time, each bus has its own route schedule, with the arrival time at each stop. Information from all GT systems is sent to one common network, where it analyzes every schedule and route of buses, trams, and trolleybuses. The system uses the received data for future traffic planning. As a result, all the information that has been received and processed is sent to the end user - the passenger - in the form of information about the time of arrival of the bus, the timetable, delays on the route to the phone in special programs or displayed on a special information board installed at the stop. [4] The program itself can be formed with the help of various models and technologies, and collect information about the state of the transport network in real time in different ways, but the final result will be the same.[5] The system support compares the real state of the transport relative to their GPS position and the planned schedule. As a result, the ITS software displays a forecast of the arrival of the transport, in accordance with the delay or, conversely, a faster arrival time at the stop and information board or on the application in the smartphone. Study object – transport connection and its improvement. The subject of the research is information support for users of public transport services Goal of research: to investigate the importance of information provision of service users.. As a result of the research, the attitude of public transport users to information support in public transport systems was investigated.
