Abstract: The qualification thesis explores the phenomenon of personal anxiety triggered by social media content. The study includes a theoretical foundation of anxiety, an analysis of the concept of social media content, and its classification. Practical research confirmed that content containing elements of negative comparison, depictions of idealized life standards, or focusing on crises and negative news can increase anxiety levels among youth, as confirmed by the analysis of correlation data. The practical significance of the study lies in its potential application for further research on the topic and in psychological counseling for young people with heightened anxiety influenced by social media content. Keywords: youth, social media, content, anxiety.
