Learning outcomes: --Fundamental knowledge of political history, classical and modern theories of politics;
- Understanding of theoretical and methodological foundations of political research, theories and methods necessary for scientific activities in the field of politics;
- Understanding of basic approaches and theories of political science, mastery of skills of political analysis, forecasting, modeling and political consulting;
- Understanding of modern world and national political processes, features of functioning of political institutions .;
- Applying the acquired knowledge and practical skills to solve specific problems in the political sphere.
Required prior and related subjects: Prerequisite: Applied Political Science; Research Seminar in Field of Political Science and International Relations

Contemporary (Modern) Problems of International Relations and World Politics; Modern Political Theories.
Summary of the subject: . Ethno-political processes in the context of globalization. Issues of nationalism in international relations. Nation and ethnic groups as categories of international relations. National minorities and ethno-political regionalization. Ethno-political conflict. Ethno-national identity and politicization of ethnicity. The essence, sources and factors of development of separatist movements. Ethno-political issues in the development of regional and cross-border cooperation. Modern mechanisms for solving ethno-political problems in international relations.
Assessment methods and criteria: Current control (40%) - oral examination, reports, discussions, writing essays, case-study research, preparation of presentations on a given topic.
Final control (60%) - examination - three-level testing.
