Learning outcomes: 1. Ability to choose alternatives to business activities to avoid overburdening the environment in the region. 2. Ability to design a technogenic facility with all requirements and norms of the current environmental legislation. 3. Demonstrate scientific perspectives in assessing the impact on the ecosystem of biotic and abiotic factors of local and global origin. 4. Ability to develop measures to reduce the negative impact of the planned object on the environment and health of the population.
Required prior and related subjects: • Fundamentals of environmental biotechnology; • Scientific basics of simulations and prognostification of the environment.
Summary of the subject: Methodological principles of environmental assessment. Procedure for approval, examination and approval of investment project documentation in Ukraine. Decision-making methodology and choice of alternatives in the national environmental assessment system Environmental Impact Assessment. Assessment of impacts on the nature, social and technogenic environment. Ways to minimize the environmental impact of a manufacturing facility and its effects. Quality control of the environmental assessment procedure.
Assessment methods and criteria: • Current control, oral examination (30%) • Final control (control measure, exam), written-oral form (70%)
