Завдання: As a result of studying an academic discipline, a graduate student should be able to demonstrate the following learning outcomes:
integral competence: The ability to solve complex problems in the field of chemical technology and engineering, which is related to the production and quality assurance of goods, the production of which is related to the formation and stability of colloidal systems or in the learning process, which involves the application of theories and methods of the formation and stability of colloidal systems systems of various types and characterized by complexity and uncertainty of conditions; to carry out research and innovation activity, which involves a deep rethinking of existing and creation of new integral knowledge, scientific principles, as well as practical implementation of the obtained results at chemical industry enterprises.
The study of an academic discipline involves the formation and development of competencies in graduate students:
general:
• systematic knowledge of modern research methods in the field of chemical technologies and engineering and in related fields;
• critical analysis, assessment and synthesis of new ideas;
• the ability to effectively communicate with the wider scientific community in the international context and the public on topical issues of chemical technologies and engineering and related fields;
• social responsibility for the results of strategic decision-making;
• initiation of original research and innovation complex projects;
professional:
• knowledge of modern development trends from the most important scientific achievements in the field of chemistry, chemical technologies and engineering, chemical materials science, in particular, related to the production of materials and cosmetic products based on colloidal systems of various types and related fields - pharmaceutical and food industries.
• systematic knowledge and understanding of modern scientific theories and methods and the ability to effectively apply them for the synthesis of new chemical compounds, technological processes, waste-free chemical technologies and chemical equipment, energy saving and environmental safety;
• the ability to integrate knowledge from other disciplines - physical and colloid chemistry, chemistry of emulsifiers, biochemistry, biologically active substances, etc., apply the latest systemic approach, take into account non-technical aspects when conducting experimental studies and solving engineering problems;
• the ability to justify the choice of a method for solving a specialized problem, critically evaluate the obtained results and justify the decisions made.
Learning outcomes: The learning outcomes of this discipline detail the following program learning outcomes:
knowledge:
1) the ability to demonstrate systematic knowledge and skills of modern research methods in the field of chemical technologies for obtaining colloidal systems of various types, obtaining materials based on them for use in the cosmetic industry and related industries (food, pharmaceutical);
2) the ability to demonstrate in-depth theoretical knowledge in the field of creating colloidal systems of various types, scientific studies of their stability and properties;
3) understanding of modern technologies of chemical production of cosmetic products based on colloidal systems of various types and trends in the development of this industry;
4) the ability to demonstrate an understanding of the impact of innovative technical solutions in the technology of obtaining cosmetic products on the health of society and in the economic and social context.
Skills:
1) search, analyze and critically evaluate scientific and scientific and technical information regarding new technologies and research in the field of obtaining colloidal systems of various types from various sources in the EU and other countries of the world;
2) apply knowledge and understanding to solve problems of synthesis and analysis of elements and systems typical for scientific research in the field of obtaining colloidal systems of various types;
3) research and model phenomena and processes in complex colloidal systems (hydrogels, emulsions of various nature, dispersions, etc.);
4) apply a systematic approach, integrating knowledge from other disciplines (physical chemistry, colloid chemistry, organic chemistry, chemistry of high molecular compounds, medicine and pharmacy) and taking into account non-technical aspects, when solving theoretical and applied problems in the field of scientific research of colloid systems of various type for cosmetics;
5) combine theory and practice, as well as make decisions and develop a strategy for solving scientific and applied problems, taking into account universal human values, public, state and industrial interests, current legislation;
6) work effectively both individually and as part of a team, including international partnership;
7) independently perform experimental research in the fields of colloidal chemistry and chemical technology of cosmetic products at the modern level and apply research skills;
8) evaluate the expediency and possibility of applying innovative processes in the chemical technologies of cosmetic products and related industries;
9) justify the choice of methods for solving a scientific and applied problem, critically evaluate the obtained results and defend the decisions made.

1) the ability to adapt to new conditions, make decisions independently and initiate original research and innovation complex projects, including international ones;
2) the ability to realize the need for lifelong learning in order to deepen the acquired and acquire new professional knowledge, taking into account the trends in the development of science and technology and, first of all, chemistry, chemical technologies and engineering, related fields;
3) the ability to take responsibility for the work performed and achieve the set goal in compliance with the requirements of professional ethics and current legislation.

Associated educational disciplines: Technology of obtaining hydrogels based on natural and synthetic polymers for use in the food and cosmetic industry.
The technology of obtaining emulsifiers and stabilizers and their use in the food and cosmetic industry.
Summary of the subject: Abstract of the academic discipline
The course "Technology of production of colloidal systems of various types as the basis of cosmetic products" is devoted to the deepening of theoretical knowledge in the field of the theory of formation, the structure of colloidal systems of various types and their stability, as well as to the deepening of knowledge in the field of the discipline "Colloidal Chemistry". The course provides knowledge about the methods and technologies of obtaining colloidal systems of various types; knowledge in the field of the basics of using various colloidal systems (suspensions, emulsions, gels, etc.) as the basis of cosmetic products and knowledge in the field of methods of research and analysis of various colloidal systems using modern methods.

Topic 2. Stability and coagulation of colloidal systems. Terms. Types of resistance. Factors and conditions of stabilization.
Lyophobic and lyophilic colloidal systems.
Topic 3. Coagulation of lyophobic sols with electrolytes. Physical theory of stability and coagulation of lyophobic colloids (DLFO theory).
Topic 4. Lyophilic dispersed systems.
Colloidal solutions of surfactants. Classification and characteristics of various types of surfactants. Properties of aqueous surfactant solutions.
Topic 5. Micelle formation. Critical concentration of micelle formation. Solubility of surfactant. Hydrophilic-lipophilic balance (HLB).
Topic 6. Characteristics of different types of micelles. Their structure.
Topic 7. Emulsions and microemulsions. Their types. Multiphase emulsions in cosmetics.
Topic 8. Vesicles and bilayers. Liposomes. Encapsulation.
Topic 9. Properties of surfactant mixtures and their characteristics.
Topic 10. Methods of obtaining dispersed systems. Their cleaning.
Topic 11. Coarsely dispersed colloidal systems. Suspensions, foams, aerosols, powders. Methods of obtaining them.

Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical principles when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical principles when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical principles when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical principles when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
