Завдання: The study of the course “Methodology of scientific publications processing” involves the formation of PhD students’ competencies:
integral competence:
the ability to produce innovative scientific ideas, to master the methodology of scientific and pedagogical activity, to solve complex problems in the process of innovative research and professional activity, to conduct original scientific research in the field of education, pedagogy at the international and national level.
General competence:
The ability to demonstrate the universal skills of a researcher, in particular, to present the results of one's own research in Ukrainian, manage scientific projects and/or make proposals for funding scientific research, registration of intellectual property rights.
Learning outcomes:
As a result of studying “Methodology of scientific publications processing” course, the PhD student should be able to demonstrate program learning outcomes that correlate with the competencies of the educational and scientific program:
SK8. Demonstrate the skills of independent performance of scientific research, flexible thinking, openness to new knowledge, evaluate the results of autonomous work and bear responsibility for personal professional development and training of others.
COM12. Ability to use modern information and communication technologies for scientific and professional communication.

Summary of the subject: In the process of subject learning the basic concepts and categories of academic writing, issues of academic literacy are considered? As well as scientific style. The specifics of the scientific text and its types, features of scientific text construction, its organization, paragraph as a component of a scientific text are studied. The syntactic difficulties of a scientific text are investigated: the specifics of sentence construction in a scientific text; syntax, means of communication in a sentence, syntactic constructions. The processing of research results publication is analyzed, in particular its main stages and requirements: preparation of a scientific article for publication; Copyright; structure and design of a scientific article; features of communication with the editorial board and reviewers. During the study of this discipline the knowledge are mastered, skills and abilities of processing and documentation of literary sources are formed, by means of acquaintance with literary sources documentation styles; features of references citation in the scientific text; use of modern ICT in the development and design of the sources database. Particular attention is paid to acquaintance with the specifics of creating scientist and author profiles in scientometric databases Scopus and Web of Science, in particular during acquaintance with scientometrics, features of registration and search of sources in databases Scopus and Web of Science; types of predation in science; specifics of checking scientific journals.

Assessment methods and criteria: Current control in practical classes is carried out in order to identify the readiness of a PhD student for classes in the following forms:
? Selective oral examination at the beginning of the class;
? Frontal standardized survey on cards, tests for 5-10 minutes;
? Individual inspection of practical work;
?Assessment of student’s activity at classes, his/her suggestions, original solutions, clarifications and definitions, additions to previous answers, etc.
Control questions are divided into:
? Test tasks – to choose the correct answers;
? Problem tasks - creating situations of a problematic nature;
? Questions – to identify cause-and-effect relationships;
? Situational tasks – to determine the solution according to a certain situation;
? Issues of a reproductive nature – determining practical significance;
? Interactive quiz and game tasks.
Final control is carried out based on the results of current control and control work.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: The study discipline "Methodology of scientific publications processing" is one of those disciplines that have gained popularity in universities of various countries. The teaching of this discipline is aimed at the formation of one of the competencies that are necessary for PhD students studying various specialties. First of all, it is about the development of scientific thinking, the formation and development of research abilities and skills, which are necessary for the full development of the chosen specialty. The goal of studying the discipline is defined as following: the formation of competences of young scientists based on scientific professional knowledge and skills in the field of academic writing, in particular, those necessary for finding information sources, processing and critically understanding the received information, its use and presentation, creating one's own works of academic and of a scientific nature, establishing effective communication with other members of the academic, scientific, professional environment.
The part of the study material is submitted for self-study. The self-study activity involves the study of literature sources, completion of the tasks presented in the guidelines for practical lessons preparation, activities in the virtual learning environment, as well as completion of individual research task.
Tests for each topic and practical works are evaluated in 5 points. Total - 70 points.
Control work - 30 points.
Total for the course - 100 points.
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100-88 points. Mark “excellent”. High level: the student demonstrates profound knowledge of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline, skills and abilities of practical application. The acquired knowledge, skills and abilities provide an opportunity to independently formulate goals and organize educational activities, search, and find solutions in non-standard, atypical educational and professional situations. The student demonstrates the ability to make generalizations based on critical analysis of factual material, ideas, theories and concepts, formulate conclusions based on them.
87-71 point. Mark “good”. Sufficient level: involves mastery of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline at an advanced level, conscious use of knowledge, skills, and abilities in order to reveal the essence of the issue. Possession of a partially structured set of knowledge provides the possibility of applying it in familiar situations of educational and professional nature.
Being aware of the specifics of problems and learning situations, the student demonstrates the ability to search and choose their solution according to the given model, to argue the use of a particular method of solving the problem. His activity is based on interest and motivation for self-development, continuous professional development.
70-50 points. Mark “satisfactory”. Satisfactory level: outlines the mastery of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline at the secondary level, partial awareness of educational and professional tasks, tasks and situations, knowledge of ways to solve typical problems and tasks.
49-26 points. Failed. Unsatisfactory level: indicates a basic mastery of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline, a general idea of ??the content of educational material, partial use of knowledge, skills and abilities. Situational-pragmatic interest is the basis of educational activity.
