Learning outcomes: • know the characteristics of digital relay protection and automation used in power systems; • know the specific operation of calculating the parameters of digital relay protection and automation (RPA); • be able to perform the calculation parameters of operation of digital devices RPA; • be able to perform configuration of digital devices RPA; • be able to design basic circuits RPA equipment power systems using digital devices.

Summary of the subject: Features digital relay protection and automation. Calculation of the operation of digital devices RPA transformers and transformers. Calculation of the differential protection operation. Calculation of the operation of protection from external short circuit overcurrent and overload.
