Мета вивчення дисципліни: Acquaintance of students with the structure and peculiarities of studying under the educational and professional program "Oil and Gas Engineering and Technology"; familiarization with the history of the oil and gas industry of Ukraine and the world; study of general information, terms and concepts about oil and gas, their production, transportation, storage and processing; study of the structure of the oil and gas complex of Ukraine.
Завдання: The study of the discipline involves the development of competencies in students: 1. Professional competencies: - ability to characterize geological processes, patterns and properties of rocks, including oil and gas deposits; - ability to analyze the processes of oil and gas movement in the formation, wells and pipelines; - ability to solve production and technological problems in well drilling, production, transportation and storage of oil and gas.
Learning outcomes: 1. As a result of studying the discipline, the student should be able to demonstrate the following learning outcomes: - knowledge of general information, terms and concepts about oil and gas, understanding the role of oil, gas, oil and gas products in industry and the national economy; - knowledge of the main historical stages and events in the development of the oil and gas industry in Ukraine and the world; - understanding of the structure of the oil and gas industry of Ukraine, classification of its objects and the relationship between them; - knowledge of general information, terms and concepts about oil and gas production, gathering, preparation, transportation and storage; - knowledge of alternative raw material sources of hydrocarbon energy; - understanding of environmental issues related to the oil and gas industry; - ability to perform geographical, operational and logistical analysis and evaluation of oil and gas fields in Ukraine, as well as domestic oil and gas facilities. 2. As a result of studying the discipline, the student must be able to demonstrate the following program learning outcomes: - to know the theories, principles, methods and concepts of oil and gas engineering, to understand the current state and role of the oil and gas industry in ensuring energy security of Ukraine. - find the necessary information in scientific and reference literature, databases, the Internet and other sources, evaluate, interpret and apply this information. - communicate on professional issues, including in a foreign language, orally and in writing. - ability to continue learning with a significant degree of autonomy.

Summary of the subject: The discipline is devoted to familiarization with the specialty of oil and gas engineering and technology. Information on the historical development of the oil and gas industry of Ukraine and the world, general information, terms and concepts about oil and gas, understanding the role of oil, gas, oil and gas products in industry and the national economy are considered. The student will master: the structure of the oil and gas industry of Ukraine, the classification of its objects and the relationship between them; general information, terms and concepts about the production, collection, preparation, transportation and storage of oil and gas; knowledge of alternative raw material sources of hydrocarbon energy; understanding of environmental issues related to the oil and gas industry.

General information, terms and concepts. 6. Objects of the oil and gas complex of Ukraine. General information, terms and concepts. 7. Alternative raw material sources of hydrocarbon energy. General information, terms and concepts. 8. Environmental problems of the industry. General information, terms and concepts. 9. Bachelor's degree in Oil and Gas Engineering and Technology. The role, place and tasks of the graduate at the facilities of the oil and gas industry of Ukraine. Places of practice, internships, employment. Practical classes: 1. Geographical assessment of oil and gas fields in Ukraine. 2. Operational assessment of oil and gas fields in Ukraine. 3. Logistical assessment of oil and gas fields in Ukraine in relation to the places of processing, storage and consumption of hydrocarbons. 4. Geographical assessment of oil and gas facilities in Ukraine. 5. Operational assessment of the oil and gas complex of Ukraine. 6. Logistics assessment of the oil and gas complex of Ukraine.
Assessment methods and criteria: The student's overall grade for the discipline consists of a grade for current control and a grade for examination control. 1. Practical exercises - checking the correctness of the decisions made. 2. Exam - written and oral form.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: The total number of points for the discipline is 100, in particular: 1. Current control (practical classes) - 30 points. 2. Examination control: - written component - 50 points; - oral component - 20 points.
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100-88 points - certified with an “excellent” grade - High level: the student demonstrates an in-depth mastery of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline, systematic knowledge, skills and abilities of their practical application. The mastered knowledge, skills and abilities provide the ability to independently formulate goals and organize learning activities, search and find solutions in non-standard, atypical educational and professional situations. The applicant demonstrates the ability to make generalizations based on critical analysis of factual material, ideas, theories and concepts, to formulate conclusions based on them. His/her activity is based on interest and motivation for self-development, continuous professional development, independent research activities, implemented with the support and guidance of the teacher. 87-71 points - certified with a grade of “good” - Sufficient level: involves mastery of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline at an advanced level, conscious use of knowledge, skills and abilities to reveal the essence of the issue. Possession of a partially structured set of knowledge provides the ability to apply it in familiar educational and professional situations. Aware of the specifics of tasks and learning situations, the student demonstrates the ability to search for and choose their solution according to the given sample, to argue for the use of a particular method of solving the problem. Their activities are based on interest and motivation for self-development and continuous professional development. 70-50 points - certified with a grade of “satisfactory” - Satisfactory level: outlines the mastery of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline at the average level, partial awareness of educational and professional tasks, problems and situations, knowledge of ways to solve typical problems and tasks. The applicant demonstrates an average level of skills and abilities to apply knowledge in practice, and solving problems requires assistance, support from a model. The basis of learning activities is situational and heuristic, dominated by motives of duty, unconscious use of opportunities for self-development. 49-00 points - certified with a grade of “unsatisfactory” - Unsatisfactory level: indicates an elementary mastery of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline, a general understanding of the content of the educational material, partial use of knowledge, skills and abilities. The basis of learning activities is situational and pragmatic interest.
