Assessment methods and criteria: Current control of students' knowledge is carried out by means of surveys in laboratory classes throughout the semester; the final control of students' knowledge is carried out by taking an exam. Control of students' knowledge is an organic component of the educational process. The main tasks of knowledge control include: - increasing students' motivation for systematic active work during the academic year, reorientation of their goals from receiving a positive assessment to the formation of sustainable knowledge, skills and abilities; - systematization of knowledge and active assimilation during the academic year; - preventing a gap between the tasks submitted for control and the discipline program; - openness of control: familiarization of students at the beginning of studying the discipline with control tasks and all forms of control measures and their evaluation criteria; - overcoming the elements of subjectivism in the assessment of knowledge, which is provided by the preparation of control tasks and tests in written form using a 100-point rating scale; - provision of proper conditions for studying the program material and preparation for control measures, which are achieved by clearly demarcating them in terms of content and time; - expansion of opportunities for comprehensive disclosure of students' abilities, development of their creative thinking. During the study of the discipline "Chemical technologies of varnishes and paints" current and final control of students' knowledge is used. The latter is carried out in the form of an exam. The specified forms of control are closely interrelated and are organized in such a way as to stimulate the effective independent work of students during the semester and ensure an objective assessment of their knowledge. The object of assessment of students' knowledge is the program material of the discipline of various nature and level of complexity, the assimilation of which is checked accordingly during the current control and examination. The task of current control is to check the understanding and assimilation of certain material, the developed skills of performing laboratory work, the ability to independently process texts, the ability to understand the content of a topic or section, the ability to publicly or in writing present certain material. The task of the exam is to check the student's understanding of the program material as a whole, the logic and relationships between individual sections, the ability to creatively use the accumulated knowledge, the ability to form one's attitude to a certain problem of the educational discipline, etc.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Grades for work in practical classes are assigned on the basis of determining the correctness, completeness and independence of the solutions obtained for each of the tasks: - the obtained results are correct, complete and obtained independently - 100% of the maximum mark; - the obtained results are correct, complete and obtained with significant help and correction of the teacher - 90% of the maximum mark; - the solutions obtained in the work are correct, but incomplete and obtained with significant help and correction of the teacher - 75% of the maximum mark; - the obtained results contain errors, but the approach to obtaining a decision and the application of tools for obtaining a decision are correct - 50% of the maximum score. Current and control testing is carried out in the National Security Service and the grade is automatically assigned for all test tasks. For an essay-type task, 100% of the maximum score is given in the manual evaluation mode for a completely correct and complete solution, 85% - a generally correct solution with minor errors in calculations; 75% - for an incomplete solution with some errors for a generally correct approach to the solution; 50% - in the presence of significant errors and an incomplete solution with the correct approach; 30% - for formulating the right approach without implementing the decision. The exam is conducted in written and oral form (the exam test is valued at 70 points, the oral component - 10 points). The oral examination involves a sample question from different sections of the course and the completion of simple tasks.
