Опис: The concept of Next Generation Networks (NGN). NGN architecture. 5G networks, architecture. Methods and means of ensuring Quality of Services (QoS). QoS in wireless networks. Backbone networks. Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH). New generation SDH (NGSDH) networks. Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM). Optical Transport Networks (OTN). Multiprotocol label switching technology (MPLS).
Assessment methods and criteria: exam, current control: control work, individual research task (presentation and Internet review on the chosen topic).
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: - individual research task - written-oral form (25 points); - control work (10 points); - final control (exam): written and oral form (65 points).
