Learning outcomes: • know the basic concepts of systems analysis, principles of systems research, basic tasks of systems analysis, the concept of system and its structure; • know the basic stages and procedures of systems research, their nature and sequence of implementation, the main tools of systems analysis; • be able to apply the methodology of systems research and system analysis tools to find optimal solutions to problems that arise in the design and development of computer systems and information technology.

Summary of the subject: Basic concepts and definitions. Features of systems research. Stages and procedures of system analysis. Stage of problem detection and analysis. The stage of determining the system and its structure. The stage of defining goals and criteria. Stage of finding and evaluating alternatives. The stage of choosing the final version. Stage of construction of complex long-term programs. The stage of creating an organization to achieve the goal and implement comprehensive long-term programs. System analysis tools. Basic principles of system approach.
Assessment methods and criteria: - Current control (36%): written reports on laboratory work, oral examination (36%); - Final control (64%) exam.
