Мета вивчення дисципліни: Directing students to improve their school language and stylistic knowledge, develop skills of professional speech culture and master the norms of literary language, get acquainted with the scientific foundations of spelling and punctuation, increase the level of literacy, develop business papers and means of professional guidance.
Завдання: - conveying information, ideas, problems, solutions, own experience and arguments to specialists and non-specialists in the national language. - collection, interpretation and application of information in the Ukrainian language. - communication on professional issues in the national language orally and in writing.
Learning outcomes: ІНТ Ability to solve complex specialized problems and practical problems in the field of international relations, public communications and regional studies, foreign policy, international interactions between states, international organizations and non-state actors, characterized by complexity and uncertainty of conditions and the application of theories of social sciences and special scientific methods of studying the problems of international relations. ЗК4. Knowledge and understanding of the subject area and understanding of professional activity. ЗК10. Ability to communicate in the state language both orally and in writing. ЗК14. Ability for interpersonal interaction, respect for diversity and multiculturalism. РН10. Fluent in the state and foreign languages at the professional level required for professional discussion, preparation of analytical and research documents. РН13. Conduct a professional discussion on issues of international relations, international communications, regional studies, foreign policy, argue their position, respect opponents and their views.

Summary of the subject: Summary of discipline: Stylistic-Practical aspects of modern Ukrainian literary language; official and business style and means of professional communication; culture of oral and written language; forms of speech etiquette; basics of business communication and managing official records; business documents; scientific principles of spelling and punctuation; stylistic editing of text for professional purposes.
Опис: 1 Language as a social phenomenon. The state-building role of language. Language functions. Language situation in Ukraine. Origin of the Ukrainian language. Ukrainian language among other languages of the world. 2 National language and its forms. Literary language. Dialect. Jargon. Language norm. Styles of the modern Ukrainian language.3 Business style as one of the styles of literary language. Concept of ethics of business communication. General requirements for drawing up documents. Document text. Basic details. Types of documents. 4 Compilation of professional documents according to the direction of training. Speech etiquette. Rules of communication of a specialist during meetings, negotiations, receptions, etc.5Special terminology and professionalism. Accuracy and appropriateness Lexical means of professional speech. Ambiguity, homonymy, synonymy, antonymy, paronymy. Vocabulary of the Ukrainian language from the point of view of its origin and from the stylistic point of view. 6 Terms and terminology. General scientific termsprofessional broadcasting. Types of terminological dictionaries. Difficult cases of using terms. 7 Orthoepic norms of the modern Ukrainian literary language. Orthoepic dictionaries. Means of melodiousness. 8 Accentological norms. Orthographic norms. 9 Grammatical categories of nouns in professional speech. 10 Grammatical categories of adjective in professional speech. 11 Functioning of numerals in professional speech. 12 Verb in professional speech. 13 Adverb and functional parts of speech in professional speech. 14 Syntactic norms of modern literary language in professional communication. 15 Punctuation norms of modern literary language in professional communication.
Assessment methods and criteria: Exam, Participation – 40 points, Graded work – 60 points
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Assessment of students' knowledge is based on the following criteria: • correctness of answers (correct, clear, sufficiently deep presentation of theoretical concepts); • degree of awareness of program material and independence of reasoning; • level of use of scientific (theoretical) knowledge; • the ability to use the learned theoretical material while performing creative practical tasks. • students' answers are evaluated in terms of logic, clarity, expressiveness of presentation.
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100-88 points - certified with an “excellent” grade - High level: the student demonstrates an in-depth mastery of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline, systematic knowledge, skills and abilities of their practical application. The mastered knowledge, skills and abilities provide the ability to independently formulate goals and organize learning activities, search and find solutions in non-standard, atypical educational and professional situations. The applicant demonstrates the ability to make generalizations based on critical analysis of factual material, ideas, theories and concepts, to formulate conclusions based on them. His/her activity is based on interest and motivation for self-development, continuous professional development, independent research activities, implemented with the support and guidance of the teacher. 87-71 points - certified with a grade of “good” - Sufficient level: involves mastery of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline at an advanced level, conscious use of knowledge, skills and abilities to reveal the essence of the issue. Possession of a partially structured set of knowledge provides the ability to apply it in familiar educational and professional situations. Aware of the specifics of tasks and learning situations, the student demonstrates the ability to search for and choose their solution according to the given sample, to argue for the use of a particular method of solving the problem. Their activities are based on interest and motivation for self-development and continuous professional development. 70-50 points - certified with a grade of “satisfactory” - Satisfactory level: outlines the mastery of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline at the average level, partial awareness of educational and professional tasks, problems and situations, knowledge of ways to solve typical problems and tasks. The applicant demonstrates an average level of skills and abilities to apply knowledge in practice, and solving problems requires assistance, support from a model. The basis of learning activities is situational and heuristic, dominated by motives of duty, unconscious use of opportunities for self-development. 49-00 points - certified with a grade of “unsatisfactory” - Unsatisfactory level: indicates an elementary mastery of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline, a general understanding of the content of the educational material, partial use of knowledge, skills and abilities. The basis of learning activities is situational and pragmatic interest.
