Learning outcomes: As a result of studying the academic discipline, the student must be able to demonstrate the following learning outcomes:
- Ability to combine theory and practice to solve applied problems in materials science.
- Ability to provide technological support for the production of materials and products from them.
- Ability to apply the concepts of lean production and general principles of reducing production costs in the field of materials science.
- Ability to use knowledge in the fields of metallurgy, materials technology, and materials science for communication at the professional and social level.

Summary of the subject: As a result of studying the discipline, a specialist should know: the physical foundations of plastic deformation; the influence of temperature and speed conditions of pressure processing on the plasticity of metal materials; the technological foundations of obtaining blanks by rolling, free forging, hot and volumetric stamping, cold sheet stamping, pressing, drawing, explosive stamping; tools and equipment used in pressure processing; physicochemical characteristics of lubricating and cooling fluids used in pressure processing conditions. A trained specialist should be able to: select technological processes for pressure processing taking into account the properties of the workpiece material; calculate the optimal technological processes for obtaining blanks by free forging, hot volumetric stamping, cold sheet stamping methods, calculate the forces during pressure processing, select equipment for processing; conduct quality control of blanks, analyze the causes of the appearance of various types of defects during pressure processing, and provide recommendations for their elimination.

Assessment methods and criteria: Interviewing and admission to laboratory work;
Defense of laboratory work;
Testing;
Performance of laboratory work on individual tasks;
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: The task of the current control is a systematic check of understanding and assimilation of the program material, performance of laboratory work, skills to independently work on writing a report, abstract, ability to publicly, in writing or in electronic format present certain material. Preparation, performance and defense of reports on laboratory work are assessed by 1-2 points for group laboratory work and 2-4 points for work performed on an individual task.
The task of the final examination control is a final check of the depth of the student's assimilation of the program material of the discipline, logic and relationships between its individual sections, the ability to creatively use the acquired knowledge; the ability to form one's attitude to a certain professional problem arising from the content of the educational component, etc.
The assessment of oral and written test tasks of examination control depends on the form of the test task:
4. the correct answer to closed test tasks of the first level of complexity with one correct answer is estimated at 2...4 points, the incorrect answer is estimated at 0 points. There can be no intermediate assessment for these tasks;
5. correct answers to closed test tasks of the second and third levels of complexity with a choice of several correct answers, to establish correspondence, nested answers, missing words and the correct sequence, which, depending on the complexity, are estimated at 4...10 points.
The criteria for assessing answers and completing tasks are:
• completeness of the disclosure of the question;
• integrity, systematicity and reasoning;
• logic of presentation, speech culture;
• analytical reasoning, ability to make comparisons, conclusions;
• accuracy of the written work.
The assessment of the student's learning outcomes is carried out according to a 100-point scale.
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100-88 points - certified with an “excellent” grade - High level: the student demonstrates an in-depth mastery of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline, systematic knowledge, skills and abilities of their practical application. The mastered knowledge, skills and abilities provide the ability to independently formulate goals and organize learning activities, search and find solutions in non-standard, atypical educational and professional situations. The applicant demonstrates the ability to make generalizations based on critical analysis of factual material, ideas, theories and concepts, to formulate conclusions based on them. His/her activity is based on interest and motivation for self-development, continuous professional development, independent research activities, implemented with the support and guidance of the teacher. 87-71 points - certified with a grade of “good” - Sufficient level: involves mastery of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline at an advanced level, conscious use of knowledge, skills and abilities to reveal the essence of the issue. Possession of a partially structured set of knowledge provides the ability to apply it in familiar educational and professional situations. Aware of the specifics of tasks and learning situations, the student demonstrates the ability to search for and choose their solution according to the given sample, to argue for the use of a particular method of solving the problem. Their activities are based on interest and motivation for self-development and continuous professional development. 70-50 points - certified with a grade of “satisfactory” - Satisfactory level: outlines the mastery of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline at the average level, partial awareness of educational and professional tasks, problems and situations, knowledge of ways to solve typical problems and tasks. The applicant demonstrates an average level of skills and abilities to apply knowledge in practice, and solving problems requires assistance, support from a model. The basis of learning activities is situational and heuristic, dominated by motives of duty, unconscious use of opportunities for self-development. 49-00 points - certified with a grade of “unsatisfactory” - Unsatisfactory level: indicates an elementary mastery of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline, a general understanding of the content of the educational material, partial use of knowledge, skills and abilities. The basis of learning activities is situational and pragmatic interest.
