Мета вивчення дисципліни: The goal of the educational discipline "Using renewable energy sources" is for students to master the skills and abilities related to the use of renewable energy sources in the fuel and energy complex of Ukraine.
Завдання: INT The ability to solve complex specialized tasks and solve practical problems in the field of ecology, environmental protection and balanced nature use, or in the learning process, which involves the application of basic theories and methods of environmental sciences, and are characterized by complexity and uncertainty of conditions. ZK 01. Knowledge and understanding of the subject area and professional activity. Professional competences of the specialty (FC) FC 10. Ability to use modern information resources for ecological research. FC 13. Ability to participate in the management of environmental protection activities and/or environmental projects. Professional competences of a professional direction (FCS) FCS 1.3. Ability to understand and take into account social, environmental, ethical, economic aspects affecting the development and use of alternative / renewable energy sources.
Learning outcomes: Program competencies: • acquisition of theoretical skills of studying the state, accounting and planning of rational use of natural resources of the city; • ability to understand and take into account social, environmental, ethical, economic aspects that influence the development and use of alternative / renewable energy sources. Program results: • knowledge of methods for calculating the energy potential of renewable energy sources and the ability to make productive decisions in the field of alternative energy, taking into account the current level of scientific and technological progress Learning outcomes: рrovision of knowledge about: - existing renewable energy sources; - Integrated use of renewable energy sources; - creation of renewable energy power equipment.

Summary of the subject: Classification of renewable energy sources. Potential global reserves of non-traditional and renewable energy in the world and in Ukraine. Energy storage. General characteristics of the use of legal and scientific grounds for the development of non-traditional energy sources. Environmental impacts of solar energy, bioenergy, wind energy, geothermal energy, small hydropower. Principles of Combining Different Renewable Energy Sources.
Опис: The main principles of Ukraine's state policy in the field of alternative energy sources are to increase the production and consumption of energy produced from renewable sources, with the aim of economical consumption of traditional fuel and energy resources and reducing Ukraine's dependence on their import. Therefore, the study of the discipline "Use of renewable energy sources" is an important link in the system of training specialists in the field of energy. The program of the discipline "Using renewable energy sources" provides for the assimilation of educational material in the form of educational and research work, designed to orient students to critical understanding of the acquired knowledge and in-depth study of theoretical and practical problems in the case of using renewable energy sources. Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Procedure and criteria for assigning points and grades: Assessment of students' knowledge of the academic discipline is carried out in accordance with the Regulation "On the organization and implementation of current and semester monitoring of students' learning results", approved by the Rector of Lviv Polytechnic National University on January 23, 2019. The student is obliged to adhere to the established schedule of implementation of OIR. Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100-88 points - certified with an “excellent” grade - High level: the student demonstrates an in-depth mastery of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline, systematic knowledge, skills and abilities of their practical application. The mastered knowledge, skills and abilities provide the ability to independently formulate goals and organize learning activities, search and find solutions in non-standard, atypical educational and professional situations. The applicant demonstrates the ability to make generalizations based on critical analysis of factual material, ideas, theories and concepts, to formulate conclusions based on them. His/her activity is based on interest and motivation for self-development, continuous professional development, independent research activities, implemented with the support and guidance of the teacher. 87-71 points - certified with a grade of “good” - Sufficient level: involves mastery of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline at an advanced level, conscious use of knowledge, skills and abilities to reveal the essence of the issue. Possession of a partially structured set of knowledge provides the ability to apply it in familiar educational and professional situations. Aware of the specifics of tasks and learning situations, the student demonstrates the ability to search for and choose their solution according to the given sample, to argue for the use of a particular method of solving the problem. Their activities are based on interest and motivation for self-development and continuous professional development. 70-50 points - certified with a grade of “satisfactory” - Satisfactory level: outlines the mastery of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline at the average level, partial awareness of educational and professional tasks, problems and situations, knowledge of ways to solve typical problems and tasks. The applicant demonstrates an average level of skills and abilities to apply knowledge in practice, and solving problems requires assistance, support from a model. The basis of learning activities is situational and heuristic, dominated by motives of duty, unconscious use of opportunities for self-development. 49-00 points - certified with a grade of “unsatisfactory” - Unsatisfactory level: indicates an elementary mastery of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline, a general understanding of the content of the educational material, partial use of knowledge, skills and abilities. The basis of learning activities is situational and pragmatic interest.
