Characteristics of the educational program: The educational and professional program is based on modern engineering programs and the results of scientific research in the field of construction and architecture and includes the following areas: research, design, construction technology, repair, reconstruction, operation and maintenance of buildings and structures and utilities, renovation of old buildings, use of new technologies and energy-saving materials, organization of repair and reconstruction works. The main focus is the design, construction technology, reconstruction, operation and maintenance of buildings and structures and utilities.
Gained competence: - design buildings and structures (according to specialization), including using computer design software systems, in order to ensure their reliability and durability, making rational design and technical decisions, technical and economic justification, taking into account the features of the construction object, determining optimal mode of its functioning and implementation of resource and energy saving measures; - apply specialized conceptual knowledge, including modern scientific achievements, as well as critical understanding of modern problems in the field of construction and civil engineering to solve complex problems of professional activity; - conduct technical examination of projects of construction and civil engineering objects (in accordance with specialization), monitoring the compliance of projects and technical documentation, design tasks, technical conditions and other applicable regulatory and legal documents in the field of architecture and construction; - to carry out operation, maintenance and quality control of the construction and civil engineering objects; - communicate freely in the state language orally and in writing to discuss professional problems and results of activities in the field of architecture and construction; - apply modern mathematical methods for statistical data analysis, calculation and optimization of design parameters and technological processes of construction of buildings and structures; - develop measures for labor and environmental protection during research and production activities; - track the latest achievements in the chosen specialization, apply them to create innovations; - specialized conceptual knowledge that includes current scientific achievements in the field of professional activity or field of knowledge and it is the basis for original thinking and conducting research; - critical understanding of problems in the field and at the border of the fields of knowledge.
- select modern materials, technologies and methods of construction production, taking into account the architectural and planning, constructive part of the project and the base of the construction organization; - collect the necessary information using scientific and technical literature, databases and other sources, analyze and evaluate it; - adhere to the norms of academic integrity, know the basic legal norms regarding the protection of intellectual property, commercialization of the results of research, invention and design activities; - ability to solve construction and civil engineering problems in new or unfamiliar environments in the presence of incomplete or limited information, taking into account aspects of social and ethical responsibility; - develop and teach specialized educational disciplines in institutions of higher education; - аpply the acquired knowledge and understanding to identify, formulate and solve the tasks of development of CBM using known and latest methods; - аpply knowledge to solve typical problems of synthesis and analysis in CBM systems; - systematically think and apply creative abilities to the formation of fundamentally new ideas in the field of calculation, design, reconstruction, installation, maintenance and operation of buildings and structures; - possess a modern methodology for substantiating decisions and choosing an activity strategy, taking into account universal human values, personal, public, state and industrial interests; - organize and carry out quality control of production processes for the installation, repair and reconstruction of buildings and structures of the city economy and coordinate the work of the relevant units, organize work on the timely execution of the production program; - to create harmonious socio-economic relations between members of the labor team on a legal basis and democratic principles; - effectively work both individually and as part of a team, perform planning and management of the development of certain types of work or part of the project; - specialized skills/problem-solving skills required for conducting research and/or implementing innovative activities to develop new knowledge and procedures; - ability to integrate knowledge and solve complex problems in broad or multidisciplinary contexts; - ability to solve problems in new or unfamiliar environments in the presence of incomplete or limited information, taking into account aspects of social and ethical responsibility.
