Learning outcomes: as a result of studying the content module the student must: • master: technology of manufacturing and use of modern effective materials; basic technological equipment and the principle of their work; basic physical and chemical properties of construction products and materials. • Be able to: draw up a technological scheme for the production of modern efficient materials; choose the chemical composition of mixtures and solutions and method of production; calculate the need for raw materials.
Required prior and related subjects: The latest technologies in design, manufacture, construction and operation. Modern technologies of energy efficient buildings and structures.
Summary of the subject: Basics of technology of the device of decorative coverings of the operated internal ceramic tiles. Wall materials. Roofing tile. Drainage pipes are personal and decorative products. Expanded clay. Fundamentals of technology for the manufacture of building elements from ceramic materials. Classification of thermal insulation materials. Functional properties of heat-insulating materials and products. Construction and operational properties of heat-insulating materials. Ways to obtain highly porous materials and choices. Artificial mineral fiber and heat-insulating products based on it. Mineral wool. Features of obtaining fiberglass. Mineral wool and fiberglass products. Status and prospects of development of production of mineral wool and fiberglass products. Materials and products from porous artificial glass. Cellular glass (foam glass). Materials based on expanded liquid glass. Thermal insulation materials and products from expanded rocks and minerals. Exfoliated perlite and products from it.
