Characteristics of the educational program: The educational and professional program is based on modern engineering and technical developments and the results of scientific research in the field of civil engineering and architecture and is oriented towards actual specialization, within the framework of which a further professional career is possible: systems and structures designed for intake, transportation, purification and distribution of natural water among consumers; wastewater treatment and sludge utilization; water supply and sewerage systems of industrial enterprises. The main focus is on resource-saving water supply and sewerage systems of settlements and industrial enterprises. The specialization "Water Supply and Sewerage" includes the following areas: systems and structures designed for intake, transportation, purification and distribution of natural water among consumers; disposal and utilization of sewage sludge; communal and industrial water supply and sewerage systems.
Gained competence: - design buildings and structures (according to specialization), including using computer design software systems, in order to ensure their reliability and durability, making rational design and technical decisions, technical and economic justification, taking into account the features of the construction object, determining optimal mode of its functioning and implementation of resource and energy saving measures; - apply specialized conceptual knowledge, including modern scientific achievements, as well as critical understanding of modern problems in the field of construction and civil engineering to solve complex problems of professional activity; - conduct technical examination of projects of construction and civil engineering objects (in accordance with specialization), monitoring the compliance of projects and technical documentation, design tasks, technical conditions and other applicable regulatory and legal documents in the field of architecture and construction; - to carry out operation, maintenance and quality control of the construction and civil engineering objects; - communicate freely in the state language orally and in writing to discuss professional problems and results of activities in the field of architecture and construction; - apply modern mathematical methods for statistical data analysis, calculation and optimization of design parameters and technological processes of construction of buildings and structures; - develop measures for labor and environmental protection during research and production activities; - track the latest achievements in the chosen specialization, apply them to create innovations; - specialized conceptual knowledge that includes current scientific achievements in the field of professional activity or field of knowledge and it is the basis for original thinking and conducting research; - critical understanding of problems in the field and at the border of the fields of knowledge.
- select modern materials, technologies and methods of construction production, taking into account the architectural and planning, constructive part of the project and the base of the construction organization; - collect the necessary information using scientific and technical literature, databases and other sources, analyze and evaluate it; - adhere to the norms of academic integrity, know the basic legal norms regarding the protection of intellectual property, commercialization of the results of research, invention and design activities; - ability to solve construction and civil engineering problems in new or unfamiliar environments in the presence of incomplete or limited information, taking into account aspects of social and ethical responsibility; - develop and teach specialized educational disciplines in institutions of higher education; - apply the acquired knowledge, skills and abilities for planning, execution and quality control of searching and design works in the field of Water Supply and Sewerage (WSS); - be able to plan and carry out implementation and operational control during the operation of WSS systems; - be able to formulate and solve tasks related to the reconstruction, modernization and development of WSS systems; - to be able to plan and carry out research in the field of WSS systems, to apply research skills in professional activity; - specialized skills/problem-solving skills required for conducting research and/or implementing innovative activities to develop new knowledge and procedures; - ability to integrate knowledge and solve complex problems in broad or multidisciplinary contexts; - ability to solve problems in new or unfamiliar environments in the presence of incomplete or limited information, taking into account aspects of social and ethical responsibility; - apply the acquired knowledge, skills and abilities for planning, execution and quality control of searching and design works in the field of Water Supply and Sewerage (WSS); - be able to plan and carry out implementation and operational control during the operation of WSS systems; - be able to formulate and solve tasks related to the reconstruction, modernization and development of WSS systems; - to be able to plan and carry out research in the field of WSS systems, to apply research skills in professional activity.
