Characteristics of the educational program: The purpose of the educational program: to provide theoretical knowledge and practical abilities and skills for successful performance in the area related to specialization "Aviation Information Systems and Complexes"
Програмні результати навчання: Knowledge: - use of embedded systems in aviation information and computer systems; - satellite navigation systems; - structure and functioning of on-board aeronautical navigation and radio equipment; - structure and functioning of ground aeronautical navigation and radio equipment; - aerospace navigation technologies, systems and complexes; - regulatory documentation on satellite navigation and algorithms for the operation of aerospace systems; - directions of modernization of air navigation systems in the conditions of transition to global satellite systems. Abilities: - develop and implement engineering and business projects in the field of avionics, taking into account the objectives, resource constraints, technical, economic, legal and security aspects; - design and research aircraft navigation devices, aircraft navigation and orientation systems, including with the use of computer-aided design systems; - analyze and synthesize digital automatic control systems; - develop algorithms for controlling the movement of aircraft; - develop and use microprocessor systems and simulation software to solve complex avionics problems; - describe the dynamic processes of aircraft, choose algorithms for controlling the movement of aircraft; - build and study physical, mathematical and computer models of avionics systems and information systems of aircraft and ground complexes using appropriate methods and specialized software. Communication: - An ability to use professionally profiled knowledge and practical skills for solving typical problems of specialty, namely an ability to identify, formulate, and solve avionics problems; to choose methods for specific problems, to make a decision, critically evaluate and protect it; -An ability to use the knowledge and skills to investigate, model, design, modernize, improve maintenance and general efficiency of aviation systems and their components; -An ability to communicate effectively in a professional and social level; -An ability to work both individually and in a team, in particular, in the cross-functional and interdisciplinary team. Skills to work independently (thesis), or in a group (laboratory works, including leadership skills at their implementation), an ability to get a result within limited time. -The research skills and the ability to search and analyse information from different sources including those in English or other foreign languages; an ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyse and interpret data, concerning avionics systems structure and operation. Autonomy and responsibility: -To be adaptable to new situations and make decisions; -To recognize the need for lifelong learning in order to deepen acquired and new professional knowledge; -To be responsible for the work to be done and to achieve the goals set, while respecting the requirements of professional ethics; -To demonstrate an understanding of and apply the principles of occupational health and safety in the operation of aviation systems.
