Summary of the subject: The preconditions and principles of urban planning theory periodization. The characteristics of the first stage of urban planning theory development (the end of the nineteenth - the first quarter of the twentieth century). The characteristics of the second stage of urban planning theory and practice development (1930-1950). The characteristics of the third stage of urban planning theory development (1960-1980). The characteristics of the fourth stage of urban planning theory and practice development (1980-2000). The perspective directions of urban planning theory and practice development.

Мета вивчення дисципліни: Acquaintance of students with advanced principles and methods of research of architectural and urban planning objects of various types and different hierarchical levels using geoinformation systems and other modern computer software products.
Завдання: integral competence (INT) – The ability to solve problems of a research and innovation nature in the field of architecture and urban planning. general competences (CG): ZK 04 Ability to use information and communication technologies. Special (professional) competences (FC): FC 02. Ability to solve architectural and urban planning problems in new or unfamiliar environments in the presence of incomplete or limited information, taking into account aspects of social and ethical responsibility. FC 03. Ability to analyze, develop and implement architectural and urban planning solutions taking into account socio-demographic, national -ethnic, natural-climatic, engineering-technical factors and sanitary-hygienic, safety, energy-saving, ecological, technical-economic requirements. FC 05. Ability to develop and implement projects in the field of architecture and urban planning. FC 07. Ability to project modeling and research of conceptual, full-scale and computer models of objects of architecture and urban planning. Professional competences of specialization (FCS): FCS 1.1. The application of the knowledge of a complex study of an architectural and urban planning object in architectural and urban planning and conducting research activities. FCS 2.1. Comprehensive study of architectural urban planning and landscape object in order to apply the obtained results in making a design decision.
Learning outcomes: PRN 1. (РН04). Understand and apply in practical activities the theoretical and practical principles of designing innovative urban planning objects, residential, public, industrial buildings and structures, reconstruction and restoration of architectural objects, methods of achieving rational architectural and planning, volumetric and spatial, constructive solution, ensuring socio-economic efficiency, environmental friendliness, energy efficiency. PRN 2. (РН07). Carry out project modeling, choose digital technologies and software tools for solving problems of a research and innovation nature, developing and implementing projects in the field of architecture and urban planning, preparation of relevant scientific and technical documentation, production of models and visual illustrative materials. PRN 3. (RN15). Analyze international and domestic experience in the design of architectural objects and urban planning. PRN 4. (UM08). Carry out relevant research and apply research skills in architecture and urban planning.

Summary of the subject: Within the framework of the discipline, the principles and methods of researching architectural and urban planning objects of various types and different hierarchical levels are studied using geoinformation systems and other modern computer software products. The functional capabilities and differences of the software for conducting research and design architectural and urban planning activities are studied. In practical classes, the skills of working with geographic information systems and methods of their application in real research and design of architectural and urban planning objects are developed.
Опис: Geoinformation technologies for research and design at the level of general plans, detailed plans of the territory of settlements. Functional capabilities and principle of operation of geoinformation systems at the level of general plans of settlements. Import of topographic surveys of the territory into GIS packages. Analysis and classification of topographic survey data for the general plan of the settlement. Creation of additional GIS data. Thematic mapping of schemes of the general plan of the settlement. Spatial analysis of the data of the general plan of the settlement. Data import and export. Construction of TIN-models of the terrain. Vertical planning of the territory using GIS. Web publication of GIS analysis results. Designing albums of drawings for printing. Control work. Differentiated scoring.
Assessment methods and criteria: Each stage of work is evaluated separately. The semester grade is the sum of all grades received during the semester, the student compiles an album of completed graphic tasks and an explanatory note of the coursework during the semester. 2 files - an album of drawings in accordance with the requirements in the * format are uploaded to the VNS for the assessment. pdf (compressed to a size of 5 mb) and an explanatory note (calculation) in *.doc or *.pdf format (compressed to a size of 5 mb). In the last lesson, the course work is defended.

Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, to consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
