Credits: 8.00
Department: Higher Geodesy and Astronomy
Lecturer: Ph.D. Lukianchenko Iurii
Semester: 2 семестр
Mode of study: денна
Learning outcomes: 1. Knowledge of empirical and theoretical research methods. 2. Knowledge of modern Internet portals that provide geodetic data. 3. Ability to visualize a large array of data. 4. Knowledge of interpolation and approximation methods. 5. Ability to use GMT software.
Required prior and related subjects: Reference systems in geodesy
Summary of the subject: The discipline "Research Methods" provides information on the use of empirical and theoretical research methods. Provides information on the use of basic geodetic Internet portals, through which you can obtain a variety of geodetic data. The course studies methods of presenting data both in the plane and in space, which allows you to clearly present information and draw certain conclusions based on it. In the course of the discipline there is an acquaintance with the software GMT, which significantly expands the practical possibilities of research and interpretation of the results.
Assessment methods and criteria: Current control: assessment of practical works, current test tasks. Final control: exam
