Learning outcomes: knowledge of theoretical foundations and essence of algorithms, which are used in steganography; the ability to make applications with using information concealing algorithms in fixed images and reveal concealed data; to process information concealing algorithms in audio and video.
Required prior and related subjects: Theory of information and coding; Cryptographic systems and protocols; Interference protection evaluation of computer systems and networks.
Summary of the subject: Messages embedding in an insignificant elements of the container. Attacks on stegosystem and countering of them. Channel throughput of concealing information transmission. Stability appraisal of steganographic systems and conditions of its achievement. Data concealing in images, audio and video. The methods of embedding information at the level of bit plane.
Assessment methods and criteria: written reports on laboratory works, oral examination, reference work (30%); final control (70% control measure, test), written-oral form (70%).
