Major: Smart transport and logistics for cities
Code of subject: 7.275.04.E.025
Credits: 6.00
Department: Transport Technologies
Lecturer: PhD, associate professor Yurii Royko
Semester: 3 семестр
Mode of study: денна
Learning outcomes: 1. To make effective decisions in the sphere of transport systems and technologies taking into account the technical, social, economic and legal aspects, generate and compare alternatives, evaluate necessary resources and restrictions, analyze risks; 2. To develop new and improve existing transport systems and technologies, determine the aims of the development, existing restrictions and spheres of the use; 3. To develop and analyze graphical, mathematical and simulation models of transport systems and technologies; 4. To organize the work of personnel, provide its professional development and objective evaluation; 5. To use specialized program software for the analysis, development and improvement of transport systems and technologies; 6. To carry out the optimization of transport system and transport technologies parameters by different criteria of the effectiveness based on their mathematical models.
Required prior and related subjects: – Traffic flow management in cities center, parts 1 and 2; – Traffic flow simulation; – Intelligent transport systems; – Urban passenger transport.
Summary of the subject: Conceptual principles of sustainable urban mobility (Planning of urban mobility as the basis of creation of traffic management system; Intelligent transport systems); Pedestrian movement in the system of system mobility (Urban planning and transport aspects of pedestrian movement. Urban spaces; Regularities of the formation of pedestrian flows; Methodological principles of pedestrian flows theory; Interrelation of pedestrian and traffic flows); Provision of the effectiveness of public transport functioning (Urban mobility strategies. Bus rapid transit; Capacity of the infrastructure of bus rapid transit; Prioritization of the movement of urban public transport using the planning and regulatory decisions); Cyclist movement and micromobility (Alternative moving in cities. Cyclist movement; Design of cyclist movement and multimodal transport systems; Micromobility as the component of sustainable urban mobility).
Assessment methods and criteria: • written reports on practical work, oral questioning, control work (50%) • summary control (50% control activity, test): written form in the form three-level tests (50%)
