Learning outcomes: • be aware of different ways of welding nonferrous and heterogeneous metals and steel, their technical and economic characteristics, scope and prospects Using development; • be aware of welding materials and equipment, process technology features, something used for welding dissimilar metals and ferrous and steel; • be able to develop the technological process of welding nonferrous and dissimilar metals and alloys, choose welding consumables, welding equipment set up and implement the welding process.

Summary of the subject: Welding and deposition of nonferrous metals and alloys. Welding heterogeneous metals and steel. Thermal cutting of nonferrous metals. Equipment for welding and cutting of nonferrous metals. Health and safety in the production constructions made of nonferrous metals. While studiing of this discipline students acquire theoretical and practical knowledge of welding technology nonferrous and dissimilar metals and steels, which are used in production at the moment and will be used in near future.
Assessment methods and criteria: • Current control (30%, defense of laboratory work). • Final prevention (60% written component, an oral component 10%).

Learning outcomes: - know welding materials and equipment, features of technological processes used for welding non-ferrous and dissimilar metals and alloys; - be able to develop the technological process of welding non-ferrous and dissimilar metals and alloys -be able to choose welding materials, set up welding equipment and carry out the welding process.

Summary of the subject: During the study of this discipline the student acquires practical knowledge and skills in developing the technology of welding colored and heterogeneous materials. The following tasks are implemented: analysis of the manufacturability of a given structure, surface or type of welded joint and weldability of non-ferrous or dissimilar metal from which it is made; justification and choice of welding method; characteristics of preparatory operations; choice of welding colored or heterogeneous materials; calculation or establishment of welding modes; organization of the welding process; choice of welding equipment for colored or dissimilar materials; weld quality control operations; determination of materials and electricity costs, etc.
Assessment methods and criteria: Current control, protection course work before the commission (100%).
